People claim there's a god, but they can't actually define what it is. In fact, they often say it exists but we can't possibly understand what it is. That's suspicious right off the bat. But I'm open to evidence, and I see little to no evidence for any gods. I'm looking for objective, rational evidence. Subjective claims about feelings or personal inspirations don't cut the mustard for me because there is no way to show they are based on a real god being there and not on the misperception of the believer.
I am not afraid of believing in anything. There are some things that would very much shake my view of the world, but if they are demonstrably true then I'll adjust my world view rather than ignoring the facts. But until such time as someone can come up with a good argument based on objective facts I'll continue to doubt there's a god.
and vague, silly arguments like "look all around you, there's your proof" just beg the question. I mean real arguments.

God is a theory. There is no evidence or proof to support it.
Science is theory with evidence.
For example, creation. In genesis creation is explained. This is a story. There is no proof. It is just saying that this is how it is, the end.
Science has the big bang. The big bang has a ton of mathematical evidence, cosmic radiation evidence, universe expansion evidence... all of it backing up the theory of the big bang.
Now that having been said, I don't believe in the big bang completely either, however, I do think it is a very well documented and evidenced theory.
Why not ask yourself why you are afraid of the truth and need to rely on this theory of a god existing?

I am some what of an athiest. I beleive there might be a higher order. I do not beleive there is a higher conciousness dictating all the horrible **** on this planet. AS for the Bible it is certainly not based in truth because i beleive in evolution. We are made of cells, we ****, we piss, we have two eyes, two ears, we are mammals. we have 96% of the same DNA as chimpanzees and that is a fact. Tell me where i am wrong.

I do not believe. Religion to me does not make common sense. I have read the bible and was raised a catholic. Does not make sense. I am not afraid of the truth. Why do christians ask this question? Do you not respect my belief as I respect yours?

yep. ourselves.
both. more for one than the other but each of us differs.
Because the truth shatters the carefully grown schemas we have become comfortable with. You can't exsit in a world where god doesn't exsist to love you.
we hate to exsist in a world populated by the brain washed.
