why should a slave work harder if his master is a Christian? Aren't all slavemasters pieces of crap for believing you can own someone?

slavery is wrong. slaves have every right to leave a master. it's a shame that the "holy" bible doesn't condemn it.

Sometimes it is from fear of punishment, sometimes it is out of a sense of duty, and somtimes it is out of love for their master. Believe it or not sometimes slaves (and no, I am not just referring to slavery in America) are actually brought up to a better life. They have masters that provide for them and treat them well and they are happy with their life. I am not advocating slavery, I believe that it is wrong, I am just saying that sometimes the slaves life is improved and so they act out of duty and love.

My dear we are all slaves of something or someone.
Some of us are slaves for humans and others to their cats and dogs.
Others are slaves to cigarettes and alcohol and drugs.
In one way or another we are all slaves.
Try getting out of that one first.
Obedience is good. It is healthy.
Service to someone is not to be looked down upon.
But violent slavery and harrassment are not to be tolerated.
That is unacceptable. Slavery out of need or suffering is unacceptable.
We dont even serve our own GOD or beliefs in that manner except for the muslims who are totally devoted to ALLAH.
That is why they kill people.
