You people think God is cruel cause he set up laws in the Old Testement that was mean as you say. God brought swift judgment to those who was wrong doers. If you didnt follow the law then God told what was to happen to them and their families. Then you say we dont use the Old Testement no longer, well your wrong. If you would please read Galatians 2:14, Galatians 3:13, Galatians 3:17-25. This is some of the scriptures that shows you we are no longer under the law and that we do not condone killing people. Folks before you make judgment against Christians trying reading the word of God so you know what your talking about. So the question is, whens the last time you read God's word? Not just part of it but all of it.

Good point. In this type of forum the rules are that there aren't a whole lot of them! In a true debate, both sides have valid, verifiable data and research on which they form their opinions and debate on the "facts" that they have. Granted some will obviously twist the facts to fit their particular assumptions. In debating or even just sharing different points of view on line like we do here, many speak from ignorance, emotions, or rephrasing correctly or incorrectly what they think they heard someone else say. In matters of faith, especially as they apply to Christianity, it should come as no surprise whatsoever when those that aren't Christians don't respond like them. The "world" knows enough Bible to be dangerous and those that challenge biblical teaching know that the majority of professing Christians DON'T read the bible regularly and as such can't present a valid defense for their beliefs. One of the most misquoted scriptures is judge not lest you be judged. That in and of itself is an accurate quote, however, it doesn't say don't judge. When you read the next verse it says that for by the same measure which you use to judge you will be judged. The lesson is to not judge using a standard you yourself could not stand up to, so it is better not to judge at all. But if you do judge, now you know the standard you have to meet, afterall, YOU set it. Getting back to your original point, a lot of people are just plain hostile towards Gods word, that's understandable it's in the Bible! You can't squeeze an orange and get apple juice! I applaud your passion, but remember, souls are won out of love and compassion, not confrontation. The Old Testament is relevant and applied today, BUT we are no longer under the law but saved by grace, Praise God for that! Jesus Christ fullfilled the law so we could live under grace.

The 'previous testomony' isn't void. right this is taken under consideration one of a number of examples why. In Exodus 31:sixteen it says,'..shop sabbath for a perpetual covenant..for the duration of their generations perpetually.'. Their generations are nonetheless occurring as a result it continues to be binding on them at present. interior the e book 'Acts of the Apostles' financial disaster 7:38 it says, those Israelites 'recieved the energetic oracles to furnish unto us'. The 'us' being christians decrease than the 'new testomony', yet those energetic oracles are the 'previous'. Why could they recieve something that became 'void'? lots of the 'previous testomony' regulations would desire to do with doing the suitable suited ingredient, like being straightforward in corporation, paying people who artwork for you, combating the unfold of affliction etc. Why could a christian say that's void? although, many christians do no longer shop the 2nd and fourth commandments, yet you will would desire to study some historic past books to verify why. Jesus did no longer come to do away with the regulation. He became a non secular Jew, and stored the regulation, and asked different's to stay together with his occasion.
