A lot of people, and probably most of you who will read this, need to get something straight. Personal beliefs are just that. Personal beliefs. It’s common sense. It says so, right in the name. Now stay with me on all of this, because odds are, you’ll agree with at least one of these paragraphs. Many of you will agree with only one. Well, **** you. It’s all true, and it all needs to be said, and it would do you all a world of good to accept it. I’m probably about to piss a lot of people off, but I don’t care. This needs to stop, not just on this site, but everywhere, and I wish there was any hope of what I am writing here having any significant impact.

A bit lengthy, see additional info…

I'm re-posting a question I asked about a day ago. I'm hoping that I'll get more(or different) answers when there's less traffic here. And I'm still annoyed by that question mark.
1.) Why does it matter if the definition of the word "marriage" changes?
2.) Why does the "tradition" of marriage matter, despite many gay people getting married in the past?
3.) Regardless of whether or not homosexuality is a sin, why do you care enough to prevent two people from obtaining a legal document?
4.) What effects would gay marriage have on your life?
5.) Why is it any of your business?
6.) If you believe in only allowing heterosexuals to marry, would you agree that marriage should only be recognized by X church and not the state?

I went to a chrisitan/catholic schools, I have friends that are all sorts of religions. I was grown in a Hindu/Buddhist family. I belive all religions have their morals and point of views, but it is hard to believe that certain religious events actually taken place, besides the point, also, we all do the same things like eat, sleep, work, party and we can all get-along. On the other hand, there is violence in the middle east that involves religion. like hindus and muslims, christians and muslims, or Hindus and christians all have violent conflicts. I THINK ITS STUPID, because I seem to get along fine with everybody else. If it were true wouldnt their be only 1 religion? I think we can all believe in what we want. Im not sure if I belive in god or not, but I follow different philiosphies to seek what is out there. Im young, in school, have alot of friends and never hurt people and stay away from crimes. I am not a bad person. So what is wrong in this world?

(And I ain't sayin' that a liberal can't be a Christian.)

I mean, these two groups are near the top, if not at the top, of the list for being responsible for everything that is going wrong with our country (the U.S.).

What's the deal?

A true just and loving God wouldn't allow all the endless pain and suffering of children and innocent victums in the world.

Either there is no God, or he's neither just nor loving.

Take your pick.

(I don't believe in Santa Claus either.)

I know so many people that are christians that started just like ME! I am not an athiest at all (never have been), but I am not a beleiver in ANY religion. Some strange things have been happening to me lately, though. So I am simply seeking additional information, and am surprised at what I'm finding. My question is: what actually CHANGES PEOPLE from one end of the spectrum to the other so completely? Many of my christian friends and family members used to be athiests! What happened?

I just feel so depressed right now. I can't seem to get along with my mom no matter how hard i try, my friends have been acting different, i had anorexia for a little while and im trying to get better; and i just found out that my grandma is sick. Im trying to get better by reading my bible and reaching out to God, but I still feel depressed. I just want to be a normal happy teen like I use to be. Will you please pray for me?

imagine for a minute after all of God's children are in heaven and we're all seeing the familiar faces of friends and family members. We're all in our little groups asking them "hey, how you get here??" some say i got shot, some say car accident, others were slaughtered for preaching the gospel, some died of cancer, aids, just really painful deaths right, and then out of nowhere the prophet Elijah listening in on the conversation comes in trying to relate but he can't because he never experienced death. Everyone looks at him funny cause he had "the old charriot pick-up"
This is not really a question, just sharing some thoughts people lighten up.

My experience with Christ and the scriptures has led me to a more 'left-leaning' viewpoint. I'm just curious what Bible verses or experiences have caused you to have a more conservative/republican point of view.

I'm not claiming to know everything about every single religion, but don't they all have the same basic beliefs? For example : They all believe there is ONE greater being. They all believe that there will be an end to the world. They all believe that to follow "Him" is the only way to be saved. Regardless of what name they give "Him" he is still the same Greater Being. With this thought in mind, doesn't it seem kind of silly to bash other religions? Or to ask who would win Jesus or Mohammed? Tell me what you think please and no rude comments please.

I just though of a funny scenario,
imagine for a minute after all of God's children are in heaven and we're all seeing the familiar faces of friends and family members. Everyone looks at him wishing they had the "old charriot pick-up" on their last day.
