Yes. When counterfiet experts study to be able to spot fake bills, they study ACTUAL U.S. currency, so when they see something that is different, they will recognize the difference immediately. The Bible is the truth that the worlds ideas should be measured against.
Keep up the good fight!!
Much Love!!

We are reading it and then analyzing it with him so he knows how silly it is that people actually believe it is historically accurate. We compare what it says to what science tells us is actual history.
He's a smart kid. He's not easily manipulated or lied to. So it was HIS idea to do the comparison after it just didn't make sense. We're very proud of him.

I am making sure my kids know the basics of all religions and as they get older they will learn more about them and be able to make their own choice as to what religion, if any, they want to follow.

Yeah, I'm making sure that they know that the bible OK's slavery, rape, polygamy, oh... and I'm DEFINITELY telling them about how it's commanded that the disobedient child should be dragged outside of the city gate and stoned to death. It keeps them in line.

Yes, thanks for asking. I do my best to encourage my son to read the bible and ask questions as they come up. I also get him involved in the outreach ministry and choir. The best solution is to encourage reading and let the child decide what it says.

Very good question. I just got my 12 yr old daughter started, thankfuly, she's enjoying it. I don't know how to get my son, 11, he really HATES any and all reading. I've thought about reading with him some. I just don't know. I know he needs to be reading, but , it's difficult to get him to. He does know how to.
