my bf and me were talking about this today, and he told me the 'upper room' building from the bible is in lebanon. and that the muslims have absolutely Trashed the building because its a christian building. does anybody have any knowledge about if this is true or not? my bf is pretty smart but idk...

according to the bible when Jesus condemned jerusalem for not recognizing him as the mesiah, all the nation was no longer under gosd protection so even if the building is there or was, it no longer stands for the biblical purpose it was intended by god.

The fact that the Bible does not describe in details about the upper rooms leads me to believe that the upper rooms were part of the side chambers of the temple. And since they were described as upper, they must be at the third story. Now they were specifically mentioned because this area had a different purpose - it was used for storing the treasures. We know that because the inside of the upper rooms were overlaid with gold (2 Chronicles 3:9). And for that purpose, it must be secured also. For maximum security, the upper rooms would most likely be located at the north side of the third story. Not Lebanon but Jerusalem.

Muslims wouldnt do something like that, as they believe most of what is in the Old Testament. Israelies are the ones bombing the entire city down. Remember this war is between the Jews and Muslims, why would they destroy a building if its there, like you say, which belongs to the Christians.

I don't know about the "supper room" but I do know many of the people in Lebanon are (surprise, surprise) Christians ... 39% (compared with 57.9% Muslim).
Not the majority ... but a VERY large portion of the population no less.
I bet they feel pretty abandoned by their American brothers and sisters who are condoning the bombing of Lebanon.

There is no true way of knowing where the building was that the "Upper Room" was located. There is an "Upper Room" in Jerusalem that is held by the E.O. Church. It has not been desecrated.

They were in Jersualem. After the Holy Spirit was given they began teaching and preaching and thousands believed.

WHERE exactly is it written? I don't recognize that. I know that the Muslims built their mosque where God's temple was and where it will be again-but that is in Jerusalem, Israel....
