I'm having a lot more good time enjoying myself and having a good health, and prosperity, and everything with this kind of a mind then I had when I had the kind of mind the world's got. Everywhere Joseph was there was prosperity, for he was the prince of prosperity. And him foreshadowing Christ, wherever Christ is, there's prosperity. And when Christ returns to the earth, all the curse of the earth will be taken away. Some of these days the old desert shall blossom as a rose, and the rough places will be made smooth. And she'll bring forth in the abundance, for He's the Prince of prosperity wherever He is. And as the antetype of Joseph, the Prince of prosperity, the Lord Jesus rose from the dead and is alive here among us as a Divine evidence that someday we're going out, out of this world of trouble and sin, and where Satan and all His powers is at; and we will be free from Him forever. God doesn't promise ease and prosperity. But He promises grace to endure in every trial. Joseph was a prince of prosperity, just as Christ is, just as the Church today. And when you see the world doing that or the devil giving you a prosperity, falsely, remember, he's building you up for a great let-down. Prosperity always ruins people. But prosperity takes a man away from God. When the world's in the state of prosperity, plenty to eat, and great airplanes, and all kinds of great scientists. Prosperity is not always the sign that God is with you. If that's so, our nation's blessed, the people are all Christians, and so was it in that day: Prosperity then was vice versa. But that would be good, but we forget God when prosperity comes like that. In this great day of prosperity, that we've been so interested in prosperity till we've left off the main thing. Jesus is the Son of prosperity: type of Joseph. When He returns, it'll be a land of prosperity. Christ brings in the millennium; He's the Son of prosperity. No matter how smart a man is, and how much he can do, and how much prosperity, if he gets away from God, he's an indebtiment to the nation, away from God and His Word. Prosperity don't always represent success in Christ, sometimes very much to the contrary. And usually, prosperity causes sin. Many people look upon prosperity as blessings. I wonder, if we couldn't just kinda type that a little bit tonight with our own country, our own nation in sin the way it is, yet prosperity. Prosperity, sometimes, is a hindrance. We think today that our organization church, we think that our prosperity today is God smiling upon us. Whenever a people gets to a place till--till prosperity begins to blind their eyes from the Word of God, they're on the rocks. Man calls prosperity, sometimes, religion. Lot could see the glamour of prosperity down in down in Sodom. Lot's intellects led him to see the glamour of prosperity. But they found out that God is not always the author of prosperity. Sometimes when prosperity strikes the churches, it gets away from Him. So, businessman, remember, prosperity don't always mean that you're a Christian. You say, "You can't believe that by prosperity?" You can't judge God by prosperity; the world prospers. Read: PSALMS 30:6; PSALMS 73:3; PROVERBS 1:32; JEREMIAH 22:21.

It works great for the already prosperous...

works terrible for the poor... just becomes a test of faith.

Only the hard working and relentless will actually prosper... even if they don't give to a church. It is evil to convince people that it can work any other way. There is no shortcut.

Good point. Drive by a "prosperity" congregation and then by a regular one. Look at the cars parked there. There isn't a difference between them.

The Prosperity teachings are not at all biblical and are merely a way for the televangelists who preach them to wear expensive clothes, drive expensive cars and stay in $10,000 a night hotel suites (yes, as reported on Dateline, one actually does!).

Here's a terrific article on the "Fleecing of the Flock for Fun and Profit." http://www.oaim.org/fleecing.html You'll get a laugh out of it -- unless of course, you LIKE the prosperity teachings!

Oh, and if you REALLY want an eye-opener, check out the DVD "Marjoe" that is about one of those preachers who exposed his own fake practices in a documentary.

There is no Law of Prosperity. Life is a cycle. It goes round and round, up and down.

Prosperity preaching works great for the preacher. But it is unscriptural at best.

God does say 'Test Me' on the issue of tithes and offerings, but there is no offer of prosperity, only that you will not want. As was said earlier, God is no genie, and He will not be restricted to any bottle.

I don't know what the law of Prosperity is. But I believe God can overcome cycles of poverty and negative choices, within a shorter period of time than education and working hard. So does God bless us to show his faithfulness in our lives? Absolutely! But God is not our Jeanie in a Bottle to do whatever we want. Is our life better with God, than without God. Absolutely.

No. I read the scriptures it's based on. It doesn't support the "law of prosperity".

Yes I believe you cannot outgive God. The more I give, the more I have. I don't really know why it workes that way but it does. Stop giving and everything seems to break down, tear and wear out faster. If I stop giving it seems like I need more money.

I'm not even sure what that is... I've never heard of it.
