I confess to you all brothers and sisters in atheist land..I grievously sinned today. I ate a small round piece of pecan pie...and THEN...in wanton aggression...I also bought and ate a snickers bar (with almonds ), I fear that the calorie gods are very angry at me and the chubby demons are flying to attack my thighs and my glutamus maximus ( bottom ) at this very moment!! What should I do you guys ? Is there a primordial cure for this outrageous transgression ? Will I soon lose my toothpick with hair appearance and fall into the dark caloric shadows of chubbyland ? Shall I soon be smitten in the thighs and the buttocks by the evil chubby godz ?
Please advise quickly. I await your counsel fair primal onez !

I am not asking as to how you where raised. I believe in God and Christ too, but I am wondering what have you experienced in your life that led you to believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that God was for real and not just a story in the Book?

I am studying the book of Luke in the bible. Many sections of scripture are referred to as songs. I know what Mary's song is referred to as " the Magnificant" but I need to find out what Zacharias' song and Elizabeth's songs are referred to as.

Do you think we are in the end times?

For a few reasons and those will follow:
1) Hollywood won't accept that a movie like Passion of the Christ is good enough for any award and most of the celebrities and movie stars don't believe in God.
2) Prayer is no longer in schools like it was when my parents were going to school.
3) PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH - I don't know the details (correct me if I'm wrong) is REMOVING THE PLEDGE OF ALLIEGANCE FROM PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
4. You can't pray in school. I do anyway!

Would have it been perfect until now had the tree not been there in the 1st place? Why did God put it there anyway and forbid the first couple to eat that fruit? To test them? How could someone with no conscious knowledge of good and evil be capable of understanding the test? And Satan? He's powerless had that same tree not been there and used it as his tool to tempt the couple. If that tree had not been around, Jesus wouldn't have to be sacrificed. Everything were supposedly perfect had it not been that tree. But God who is perfect cannot make a mistake as simple as overlooking that tree which causes all these troubles of mankind. Maybe, just maybe, our idea of perfection isn't what in God's mind after all? What do you think?

sometimes I have no I dea what God wants us to do. Does he want us to respect other people and their religions? Or are we supposed to convert them? Is our regular life a sin because we do so many wrong things? What if you are boss and you fire some one, Is that a sin? What if you put down an animal because it attacks people, is that a sin? What if all of civilization is so messed up, that we are all going to hell?

And all things on the earth shall alter,
And shall not appear in their time:
And the moon shall alter her order,
And not appear at her time.
And in those days the sun shall be seen and he shall journey in the evening on the extremity of the great chariot in the west
And shall shine more brightly than accords with the order of light.
And many chiefs of the stars shall transgress the order (prescribed).
And these shall alter their orbits and tasks,
And not appear at the seasons prescribed to them.
And the whole order of the stars shall be concealed,
And the thoughts of those on the earth shall err concerning them,
