I have a friend who says that no matter how much good you do in your life, that if you don't accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior you won't get into heaven. Basically she is saying that despite all the good that Mother Theresa has done, that if she didn't accept Jesus and the Lord and Savior, she would be going to hell despite all the good deeds that she did etc. What do you think? I think it's a bunch of B.S.

Pascal's Wager is;

Suppose you are right. Suppose there is no God. Then when I die as a believer, I have lost nothing. I just die, as a man that devoted his life to love and morals. But if you, as a non-believer, are wrong and I am right, you have to spend an eternity in hell. See, I have nothing to lose, but you have everything to lose.

The problem with this line of reasoning is that there are thousands of gods that humans have imagined. A person who believes in Allah can make this statement, and so can a person who believes in God, and so can a person who believes in Vishnu. This multitude of fictional beings shows the silliness of the argument. There is no way to know which god to choose, because there is no evidence whatsoever indicating that any of them exist.

So there i was listening to a show about science and the topic of discussion was the creation of the moon and I heard their relevant theories which was one more than when I was a kid and I figured it out-I now know how the moon was formed-I know and they don't-I am a genius and I am not understood by this world because I can see things that they don't. The 3 theories involve "Simultaneou Creation" where both the moon and the earth formed together-that was ruled out- "The Capture Theory" where the earths gravitational pull pulled the moon in and it was captured like Jupiter has done to several of its moons-ruled out-so that the theory that persisited was the "Sudden ImpacT" where something hit the earth and this caused a portion of the earth to fall off and be retained in orbit-this was also further analyzed because of the samples that had been brought back from the moon and they were of a silica nature meaning that oxygen had to be present and that the moon was once magma. U GO GOD!

Why do religious people talk in rhetorical nonsense and circular logic that leads right back to the question at hand? Could it be that they get all of their information from one source a book that is totally biased, written by Xian’s for Xian’s? Why can’t they talk in an actual intelligent manner about their beliefs with out sounding like crazy’s or with out twisting what they say or actually making any sense? Why it is so bad in their eyes to be analytical or rational? Could it be that not even they understand a book that they believe to be true, so as to make their arguments sound coherent?

it bothers me when people blindly and ignorantly hate on christians b/c of stupid stereotypes. and those who say their christians but act hypocritically. it really messes things up. in the words of margaret cho.. "I wish jesus could come back and be like 'THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!!!!'"

Do you think it makes the lady mad that drives around in a mini van that has God and Jesus stickers all over it? My car has a burning devil head on the hood and the name of the car means gentleman devil? I do hope it at least bugs her a bit myself.

I tried and failed to find out something in this world for which the basic reason (passion for it) is not LOVE.

To understand the methods of my search see some examples;

1. Job- working some where means we LOVE earning/money (list is not complete...)

2. Marriage- we LOVE family Life/partner/sex/children (list is not complete...)

In this way even if we take the instance of an evil activity there also the basic reason is LOVE for some thing.

Is this means LOVE is some thing that we should use judicially?
