I can't honestly say what percentage is actually the word of God. However, if I'm correct before the Hebrews became the Jews the Bible was the spoken word and not the written word. It was important during this time to orally retail the stories of Christ to continue the teachings of the Faith. Throughout Biblical History, as time went by and writing became the means of educating and expressing thoughts and great stories, you then began having religious leaders, people of the faith write about Jesus life. Hundreds of years later after the death of Jesus, the Apostles such as Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and the most important Paul who began to write about the teachings of God. If you really want to know if the word of God is actually the "word" I suggest that you study the Gospels of Mark, Matthew, John and Luke and Paul the Apostle.

zero is the word of God. Yeah sure bible humpers think what you want. and I'm also supposed to believe that God only talked to people back then rightttttttt. If you go by the bible God created hatred and racism. oh yeah and the dinosaurs are in our minds right. oh and the north star that appeared on the birth of Christ right, its millions of miles away and even if you could add a star like that it would take a very long time to shine on earth. you know how long it takes the light from a star to travel to earth. he would have had to make the star at least several hundred thousand years before even creating earth to time it about right. so if he knew when to creat the star he knew his son would be born also knew he would die way before creating earth now why did he even bother?. so go ahead waist your life waiting to die to win your freaking eternal prize. I'm extremely happy with my life, i don't hurt anybody help all i can and tell you the truth i don't want eternal life.

100% WORD OF GOD. This does not mean that he wrote it himself. He is an invisible spirit, he cannot write. The Bible is INSPIRED of God. Various men wrote what God wanted them to write. For an illustration, let us talk about a secretary and her boss. The boss tells the secretary to write down what he is saying and then signs the letter at the bottom and tells her to send it out. Does this mean the secretary wrote it? NO!

The Bible was written and rewritten, translated and re-translated by many different people over the years - each with their own political and religious agenda. But its message of love and compassion is still valid, nonetheless.

Well, I think that the true word of God used to be in the bible... but someone took it out because they thought God saying "Oops" after he created man would not be a good moral booster.

The entire Bible is the word of God. Not meaning he actually wrote it, but the writing was inspired by Him.

100%! I think that god is big enough that even if man changed the words around that it would still be what he wanted it to be.
