I am pretty familar with many denominations, but are you sure that 'New Covenant' isnt' just the name of that particular Church of Christ?

Most of the Churches of Christ "one-off" denominations are actually pretty similar, doctrinally, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's not going to kill you to go once and find out about it.

The church of Christ claims to be the church talked about in Acts, with headquarters in heaven.
New covenant church has earthly headquarters in Circleville Ohio.
The church of Christ claims Jesus as their leader, and the bible only as creed.
New covenant says "The leader of the local church is the pastor, but the responsibility of administration is shared with the local board."

That should be enough. Who do you want for your leader? Jesus or the local pastor?

i'm a member of the church of Christ. i believe the completed Bible is the understand God and there is a lot we may be able to benefit from both the former and New Testaments, yet we are situation to the recent testomony. The instructions and suggestions of worship contained in the former testomony were replaced by technique of the instructions and training for worship contained in the recent testomony. In Galatians 5, there have been some in New testomony circumstances who were nevertheless attempting to bind circumcision, an previous testomony command, as being mandatory. Paul informed them, in the journey that they sure this one merchandise, they were "debtor to do the completed regulation." (verse 3) ("The regulation" being the regulation of Moses.) In different words, if this became nevertheless a call for because it became commanded contained in the OT, then by technique of an similar authority they could ought to do each and everything the OT instructions - animal sacrifices, each and each and every year journeys to Jerusalem, feasts, Sabbath days, and so on. "For whosoever shall keep the completed regulation, and yet offend in a unmarried element, he's to blame of all." (James 2:10) Paul went on in Galatians 5:4 says that those who nevertheless search for to be justified by technique of the regulation have "fallen from grace'. As for there being "one authentic church", Ephesians 4:4 says, "there is one body..." Verse 5 says there is one Lord and verse 6 says there is one God. there is only “one body” purely as positive as there is just one authentic God. before in Ephesians (a million:22-23) it says that Christ is the top of the body. have you ever considered a head connected to better than one body? Such isn't organic. those verses bypass on to inform what this “body” is. they say, “And hath placed all issues lower than his ft, and gave him to be the top over all issues to the church, it truly is his body…” The church is his body, and the body is the church. (Col. a million:18, 24) The church is the body, and there is just one body, hence, there is just one authentic church! No, the differences are inconsequential, so long as Christ is the center of worship in both churches. Too much is made of slight differences in style of worship, your brother UC Steve.

No but I do know that water baptism does not save you. When we believe and trust in what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross we are baptized by one Spirit into one body. 1 Corinthians 12: 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. I do know that there is only one baptism that saves and that what the Spirit does when you believe. Ephesians 4: 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

One is adament that the wine at the last supper was annebriated grape juice. And the other felt Jesus knew where the stones were when he walked upon the waters.

Due to these differences of interpretation, they have been trying to kill one another for decades!

Just go...it's probably not that different. As long as it's not Baptist or Catholic it should still be pretty similar. You might wanna look around before you start doing certain things and just get your feel for the new ground. They would probably appreciate it too.

The best way would be to simply ask your friend what the differences are. You can compare the services, what the beliefs are, etc.
Also, ask your friend to visit your Church!
