God made you beautiful as you are and looks and appearance is not everything. No need for cosmetic surgery unless like mentioned by someone else if you were in an accident or born with deformations then it is acceptable. Otherwise God made you the way you are. I was pretty scary looking in junior high then in high school i was called the love machine.

I'm a Christian and I had plastic surgery because I really needed it. I think that if you need to do it you should, if it's not for conceited reasons, so you look like a "Barbie"and want to act like one. Only if you are going to feel better emotionally and your self-esteem is going to be all the way up like mine! I had a breast reduction because of my back pain and other things and I change so much. That was years ago and I still thinking that if I had to do it again I'll do it! And believe me it was painful...

I'm a Christian, so this is a Christian answer:
Even if you can pull a scripture out that says:
" Thou shalt not have plastic surgery " then you're covered by grace if you are in faith.
So boob job or nose job, you'd better pray that everything will go right. Know the risks before you do it. If things dont settle right, know that you are the first to blame, unless you know in your heart of hearts that it was malpractice.

I'm a Pagan and I don't have a problem with it, but personally wouldn't have it done. I have a 34 FF bust so a boob job is not necessary for me. What DOES worry me about boob enlargements is this..... In 30-40 years time are we gonna have a pile of wrinkly old ladies at the beach with MASSIVE boobs ? Ewwww
My mum had a boob reduction done a few years ago and swears it is the best thing she ever did.

God made you beautiful each in your own way. If he wanted everyone to look like a blonde big boobed hollywood girl he would have made them that way. I can't stand people that think cosmetic surgery is a necessary need you were made the way you are for a reason.

Jewish:
As long as it doesn't endanger your life, I believe its OK.
(after all, isn't getting an earring just a mild form cosmetic surgery!)
however, one should guard themselves from becoming to materialistic, but if the cosmetic surgery is for something reasonable (e.g. a deformity), then I don't think it'd be a problem at all.

I think it is stupid. It just plays on women's insecurities about their looks. It perpetuates the myth of what a "beautiful" women should be. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. With the exception of disfigurement I think cosmetic surgery is pointless.
I hate my nose but I would never get cosmetic surgery. It makes my face what it is.

Unless it's for medical purposes, it's a big no-no. Ask yourself, when big boobs aren't in anymore, what are you gonna do with them? when thin noses are seen as ugly? ...etc. I think it's a matter of accepting ourselves and demanding respect from others.
To me the looks I have are special because this is what God chose for me. He took the time to make me this way. I am grateful to him and will take care of my looks (naturally) and my health ( I don't smoke, no drugs, follow a healthy diet,..etc).
Besides, with the increase popularity of plastic surgery, everyone is starting to look like eachother, it's like a new breed of humans. I don't like it one bit.
