Since the moon orbits the earth at a different speed than the earth spins, it will not be in the same place from one night to the next. By the time the earth has rotated on it's axis once (24 hours) the moon will have traveled 1/28 of it's orbit around the earth. This will put it about 19 degrees from where it was the previous night.

If you really think that a planet has snuck up on us from millions of miles away, with no-one reporting it, (when amateur astronomers routinely detect new comets and objects many thousands of times smaller) and also that the Moon has wandered some significant distance away, without causing absolutely catastrophic changes to tidal dynamics all over the Earth, then you need to sit in a dark room for a while, and have a long talk with yourself about your life.
I take it this planet is occupied by older, wiser life-forms than us? They must have frozen to death, out there so far from the Sun, if we've discovered Sedna, a planetoid some 1200 times further from the Sun than us, which is little more than a profoundly frozen stone.
Eat some chocolate. Take a walk in the park. Take a girl out to dinner. Enjoy life, my friend, because it's brief, and frequently tragic.
