No. Attending church is great for worship , learning and fellowship, but you can still have a great relationship with the Lord studying on your own.

No. But if you're in good standing, chances are you will want to go to church. You don't go to church for what you get, you go for what you become and then are able to go out in the world and share. Church does not get you into heaven nor does it keep you there. It is impossible to lose your salvation(Hebrews 6:4).
I think it's very unfortunate for people to worship or have faith in God out of fear. The very reason God created us was for a love relationship. There's not a whole lot of love when one of the parties is afraid the other one will leave.
I consider going to church kind of like spending time with my daughter. Sometimes I look forward to it more than others, but in almost every situation, I am a better person than I was prior to coming together. It's all about the Love relationship.

It isn't about being in good standing. When you find the right church it strengthens you. You learn, and you share your faith with others. It was never meant to be a place where you go just to show off how good you are, though some people only go for that reason. Others go out of habit, and don't really get anything out of it. But if you go for the right reasons and with the right attitude, you will find that you become a stronger Christian because of it. You can be a Christian and not go, but why would you want to?

No you don't. In the bible the church were the people. People coming together to pray etc. When Jesus spoke of his church, He meant His people. A temple is different, that is a place of worship. Now adays we call it a church, but really in the bible the church were the people. Religions are man made. Jesus didn't say you must attend church to worship Him etc. You can do that anywhere. Jesus only asked us to devote time to Him. He wants us to believe that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are ONE. He wants us to live in Him and follow Him and His plans for us. Now adays a church is basically a money maker and it's corrupted. It's better to gather with friends and family and pray together and talk about God and His Word. I used to go to church and I felt dirty all the time. I didn't feel Jesus there. Now all I do is read the bible with my boyfriend, we are both Christians and, we don't believe in going to church to worship God etc. So don't let anyone tell you that you must attend a church cause you don't have to.

I do not think that you need to go to church regularly to be in good standing with God. I think it can help because we are with fellow believers without distractions. I think if you stay at home and pray and worship the Lord its not going to be different to Him. He cares about your heart. I actually took some time off from going to church to be with God by myself until I found a good church I liked. You should look forward to spending time with God, not feeling pressured to. Churches do offer good fundraisers and a are a good place to meet people. Going can help you to maintain a good relationship though because often we get lost with the troubles of this world.
So basically I think church can be a good thing but is not totally necessary to be close with God.

From a Christian Faith standpoint... no, youdo not have to go to church.( a partiular building) Even if your Salvation is assured. But, If your salvation is assured I would direct you to the book of James. He talks about The works we do to demonstrate our salvatioon... Church is a good place to start learning how to do that. And we are directed to not forsake gathering togeather with other believ ers... church is a good place to do that as well. But, where two or more are gathered in Christs Name, that is where he is also...thus that is where The Church is... So keep in touch personaly with fellow believers and you will be going to church no matter where you are.

No, you do not have to "go to church" or "belong to a church" to be in good standing. You just have to accept Christ, seek forgiveness for your sins, and you will find your life change. Conversations you have with people will change and you will want to share the Good News. That forms the church. You ARE the church.

No...you will know a Christian by their fruits and unfortunately some of the 'fruits' I've seen in churches are a real turn off. The majority of my friends or acquaintances who are really truly good, caring people love God but do not attend church.
By the same token, I've known regular church goers that are gossipers, materialistic, and self-righteous.
It is sad that it has come to this.

Organized religion is one thing (going to a Church, Temple or Mosque, etc.) but one does not need to attend regularly to live in God's way. Don't hurt others, love your neighbors, no stealing, no lying, and no worshiping false idols and follow the 623 commandments that are in the Bible, and you will be fine without attending regularly.

No. To be in good standing with God is between you and the Lord. Not you, the church, and the Lord. As I recall, Jesus did not have a church and he was in good standings with the Lord.
