I understand that GOD may have decided to allow the angels a moment of free will to decide who they reall wanted to serve, but after all the divisions were decided upon GOD could have just cast out those who decided against HIM...with NO WAR !! So why did the GREAT WAR have to take place?

I keep hearing that, all my life I've heard the earth is only 6000 years old, but I have never found the Scripture that says it's true. I have come to the conclusion that someone was incorrect in their adding lol.

It's my theory that creation occurred exactly as God said it did, in 6 days. I believe that evolution occurred after Adam and Eve were in the Garden. After all, they were made in God's image, which is part eternal and timeless right? And why put them in a garden, if the whole world is a big garden? I believe evolution occurred between Genesis 2 and 3.

What say you?

I need help with my masturbation. I have been a true Christian for a long time now and I have been struggling with masturbation and lust for more than a year now. I have repented once and for all but I am having trouble changing. Every time I am tempted to masturbate, I remember that I have to pray. But praying makes me think of it even more. And then, after I have been rolling it around in my head for a while, it seems as if it is to powerful and I dont even think about praying anymore. I enjoy it while masturbating, but afterwards I am convicted and I really want to stop. I need a Christian brother please to give me their email address and by request be my accountability partner? As an accountability partner, you will email me and check up on me every week to see how I am doing with my temptation. I'll share with you my experience with my temptation and together with God we can overcome it. Anything said in the email stays in the email. Prayers are also greatly appreciated. thanks.

This one never gets a good answer, so I just have to ask it again. What was God doing before He created everything? If He existed in to pre eternity, that's a long time to just hover around looking at nothing.
Gotta admit, science doesn't have a good one for this either so asking Yahoo'ers is probably a poor decision by this Yahoo'er.

Here's a link to a random number generator:

http://www.random.org/nform.html

Grab a bible and use the RNG to give you a book, chapter, and verse. If you want, you can give a little "prayer" in the hopes that you'll get something relevant.

When you're done, post your verse here. I'll start it off:

Nehemiah 10:39

For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God.

What do you get?

The faithful are invited to share in this experiment as well.

Does anyone else think that the theory of original sin makes for an unjust God? If we are all sinners before we have even done anything wrong , where is the justice in that? How does it make sense that children should pay for the sins of their ancestors. If you did not commit these crimes, how can you be asked to pay for them? If original sin is real, does that make God unjust and petty?

The Reverend Dr. Bill Lawson compared Lay with civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. and Jesus Christ, and said his name would eventually be cleared. "Ken Lay was neither black nor poor, but I'm angry because Ken Lay was a victim of a lynching."
"The folks who don't like him have had their say. I'd like to have mine ... (Like Jesus Christ) he was crucified by a government that mistreated him."

I thought he died of a heart attack.

does anyone BOTHER to even look up the quote to: 1. Be sure it is accurate or 2. read it in context.

I just responded to a question where it was OBVIOUS that this was not done by ANY of the responders. Hello people, especially those that might perhaps be here to in some way learn or teach or evangelize or whatever---------a little common sense!

So really, how many of you bother to read these in context?

Today I heard that the Ceo of Wal-Mart H. Lee Scott is going to transform his company into a greener one. He made some pretty bold statements like: He wants to cut back greenhouse emission, work on fuel efficiency in his truck fleet, reduce his solid waste by 25% and more. He even screened Al Gore’s new movie,” An Inconvenient Truth” for employees.
Propaganda? A forward thinking approach to marketing? A true environmental conscience among conglomerate giants?
I am happy they are making this step for whatever reason and I hope other companies follow their lead, but I still can’t help wondering what they are up to?
Your thoughts?

And here is why I choose the religion category… Since Wal-Mart is one of the most outwardly religious companies I am aware of then why do a lot of their outfits look so slutty?
