and what they have read from the Bible?

It is a judgement based on their beliefs and their interpretation of what they read in the Bible.

Many say that just a bit triumphantly when you disagree with something they've said or done. Don't worry about it. They don't have the answers either.

That is a judgement against another person that does not need to be said. If a man is bringing that up into a non-believers face then the issue would be, Is the christian judging another? If they are they will be judged just as harshly and even more so.

So how do we tell others not to do certain things? Through our actions and not our words. The tongue is the most evil part of any man and must be pulled back in order not to destroy another person.

Remember actions speak louder than words....I have been in a situation that the people that surround me always hurt other people with their words and really do not care what they are doing. Sooner or later, they will see that their words will not bring around the type of response that they want. They have and will drive people away faster and further than if they used their own actions.

So, in closing look to a persons actions and if they are doing something that is not of the norm you might be surprised to find out they are a christian and then you can talk to them and find out why they are different without being condemned.

What a Christian says is not really important. I think if I were you I'd be a bit more worried with what God says about where you will go. A Christian has no right authority or power to send you to heaven or to hell. Also, the Bible is not the only holy book on the planet. find all the main ones, bible, quran, torah and compare. that which more or less agree in all three I find to be the most accurate thing to believe.

As a Christian, I would NEVER tell someone they are going to Hell... it is not my place to judge their soul. However, I would point out actions that I thought were sinful. For example- My sorority sister asked me if sleeping with her b/f before she was married meant she was going to hell. I just told her that the Bible says that fornication is a sin. The Bible says to judge the fruits (the actions of people) not their soul. Another example: If I told you not to speed because it was against the law and you might have to pay for it if you were caught... it's the same idea only on a secular level. But yes, their judgements are based on what they have been taught and what they have read in the Bible.

Yes. In a way, everyone judges and all judgments have a basis in what a person believes. Even if this is not considered in religious terms, we judge each other socially, morally, ethically, in business or simply in passing.

Atheists, Muslims, Jews, or any other person judges and tells people that "you are going to hell" just as much as Christians do.

A Christian telling me I am going to hell for being a Witch is the same as me telling a Christian that he will be reincarnated over and over until he becomes an ascended master. I don't believe him and he won't believe me.

I predict his afterlife based only on what I believe to be true, and vice versa for him. It's purely on beliefs, and nothing more. There's no evidence that hell exists, so it's based on belief.

Some believe that you are going to hell. I am a Christian and I don't believe in hell. That depends in the way they interpret the Bible.

It's not a judgement, it's a delusion.

The concept of 'hell' only has power over those who buy into it. Since it doesn't really exist, it's something of an empty threat to a free thinker.

if a christian says "you are going to hell" he is in fact condemning themselves. REMEMBER, you know, the commandment that says Do unto others what you wish be done to you. Well, something like that. anyway, no man has the right to judge others, they only think they do.
