Found this in one of the answers by JessiYari: "No. i am an Atheist, i believe in science." I've also heard other people saying the same a few times before.

I understand what atheism is, but what is "believing in science"?

Yesterday someone died. They might've been gay. Is this not proof that God is taking vengance on the homosexuals?

Jesus gave me a big foam finger that says "Mt. McKinley is #1"
He said I'd know what to do with it when the time comes. I don't understand. What do ye heathen beasts think it means?

4. Population Statistics...World population growth rate in recent times is about 2% per year. Practicable application of growth rate throughout human history would be about half that number. Wars, disease, famine, etc. have wiped out approximately one third of the population on average every 82 years. Starting with eight people, and applying these growth rates since the Flood of Noah's day (about 4500 years ago) would give a total human population at just under six billion people. However, application on an evolutionary time scale runs into major difficulties. Starting with one "couple" just 41,000 years ago would give us a total population of 2 x 10 to the 89. 9th power. The universe does not have space to hold so many bodies.

Why is there all the evidence for an earth, and life on earth, more than 100,000 years old, and for the relationships between living things, and why were we given the intelligence to reach those conclusions?

Why should the wondrous events described in sacred writings be given naturalistic explanations?
Why does the plain reading of nature seem to support conventional science?

I believe in freedom of religion, for everyone. Having said that, I do NOT believe in Baptism by proxy.

How do I find out if a deceased family member has been baptized into the LDS faith by proxy? Is there any way to discover who was baptized in their place? How would I remove my family member(s) from the LDS baptism rolls?

If you are not christian, please don't post rude comments. Thanks!
Do you feel like being on here and answer questions about God and Heaven to people who want to know or are confused, is a way of witnessing and sharing your beliefs with them WITHOUT sounding like a bible beater who says they will go to hell if they don't believe like you do?
I was just wondering- because I feel like that.

What if some guy named Joe starts doing some fairly miraculous things. CPR on someone to bring them to life, takes a lot of water and turns it into wine.... opens a soup kitchen and turns their 1 bit of bread into an entire meal. Starts talking just like Jesus did and collecting followers and claiming to be the Messiah.

Would you quit your job and follow him? Here is a guy just like Jesus doing the same things he did, claiming to be Messiah. What indeed would you do...

Dr. Thomas Barnes, Emeritus Professor of Physics at the University of Texas at El Paso, has published the definitive work in this field. (4) Scientific observations since 1829 have shown that the earth’s magnetic field has been measurably decaying at an exponential rate, demonstrating its half-life to be approximately 1400 years. In practical application its strength 20,000 years ago would approximate that of a magnetic star. Under those conditions many of the atoms necessary for life processes could not form. These data demonstrate that earth’s entire history is young, within a few thousand years.

Atheists have more confidence in humans than Christians because Christians feel that they can't do it alone. Atheists believe we can do it alone which means Atheists have more confidence. Do you agree or disagree. If you disagree, Explain how can we not have more confidence in ourselves than Christians if Christians dont believe humans can make this world a better place without god. Atheists do. There's no way around it. You're trapped in a corner. Just face it. If you say you have faith. That means you're depending on god to help which means you are lacking confidence.
