Isn't it a lot like pushing the cosmic "Undo" button?

Nobody can atone for somebody Else's sins. It goes against G-ds word in the Torah. Also sacrifices most be Kosher, according to G-ds word in Leviticus, a human is not Kosher. The method of death and what happens to the remains are described in Leviticus, Jesus's death met none of these conditions.

Now G-d gave us many ways to atone, why did he pick the harshest for Jesus? Alsosacrifices ended as general practice with the destruction of the first temple, before Jesus was even born. So was G-d abolishing something that was not being done anymore and that was in effect optional to begin with (since there were other ways to accomplish the same thing)?

It still counts because the act of Jesus dieing broke the power of sin and death. Therefore after Jesus died the wages of sin (which is death) was paid for everyone (or for the elect if you are reformed). If you fix a car after it broke down that doesn't change the fact that it was broken. But the resurrection of Jesus proves he is God and does nothing to discredit his sacrifice for us.

Veritatum17, I think you are incorrect about his body not being his physical. His body was a glorified body, but it was his physical body, hence his offering his hands and side as proof to Thomas that he had been raised.

YES. Because Jesus gave up a perfect human life, and will never be a human only, again. (A materialized spirit can put on a human body, but they are still a powerful spirit, Luke 24:31,36-51, Hebrews 13:12)

The first perfect man, Adam, was unfaithful and sold all his children to sin and death. None of Adam's children could give their life to balance the scales of justice. (Psalms 49:7)

God always does what is right. (Romans3:26)

So, for ILLUSTRATION sake, if we are all worth minus one penny, or -.01, and we needed a million dollars, (a perfect human) to get out of the death penalty, we could never get out unless someone paid the million dollars. Even all of us together could never be worth what a perfect person is worth.

So Adam, worth a million dollars when perfect, sold himself and his children to the enemy. God provided a perfect man to buy us back to life. The requirement is only that we believe, and do works of repentance. (Acts 26:20, Romans 10:4)

Jesus also proved that it is possible for a perfect man to be faithful to God, under the severest test.

The right thing also for God to do, in behalf of Jesus gift, was to restore Jesus to life with glory. Jesus was sinless, so he does not deserve to be dead forever. (John 17:5, Phil. 2:10, Rev.11:15, 1Peter1:22)

What most ppl confused about is that He died for thier sins but not for punishment.
God leased to humans the sins, they are not permanent and Jesus when he run out of Sins he decide its time to reclaim some of them. But as apriciations for using those sins Jesus simply left all the punishment for those was using hsi sins.
Therefore GOd exists

Jesus suffered for our punishment, but then rose again to show that he had conquered death and sin. The tragic part would be if Jesus never rose from the dead, because then we would be a fake religion just like all the other one's whose leaders are still in the grave today. JESUS HAS CONQUERED DEATH!

God became flesh in order to taste both temptation and death for all men. While He was here, He also showed immense compassion on the people around Him, and took the time to teach us some very good precepts for living in peace (too bad they've never actually been put into practice).
That isn't good enough for you?

you like settlement for statements that are no longer actual? Hmmm...Christ replace into interior the grave for 3 days and 3 nights, basically like the Bible says (although Catholics have long contradicted the Bible. crucifying Christ on Friday and elevating him on Sunday). The Bible for sure tells us that Jesus died on a intense Sabbath meaning that he died sometime Wednesday night/early Thurs morning on the main cutting-edge. He replace into taken down, with the aid of intense Sabbath and could have as a result been interior the grave, with the aid of fact the Bible says, Thurs, Fri and Sat night. Jesus died for our sins and the charge that required replace into no longer, I repeat no longer his death, however the laying off of his blood. that's yet yet another heresy propagated by making use of the Catholic church homes, it truly is protestant "offspring" and now new evangelical church homes who do no longer use Bibles that are the information of God, preserved. Ephesians a million:7, a million John a million:7, Hebrews 9:22 etc... And basically approximately all issues are by making use of the regulation purged with blood; and with out laying off of blood isn't any REMISSION. Hebrews 9 is basically approximately thoroughly committed to explaining the importance of the blood of Christ because it applies to sacrifice, salvation, cleansing from unrighteousness and redemption. besides, the VICTORY over devil and death got here with Christ's resurrection. no longer something replace into achieved by making use of Jesus basically death on the bypass. you're good in that any guy who needed to (although even that guy could be uncommon) could have executed the comparable ingredient.

Jesus did not die for our "Sins" per say. He died by man. It was a demonstration that there is nothing to fear, but in Jesus dying, he did not necessary "Save our Souls" as some religions would have you believe.

Jesus didn't come back to life, He was resurrected, which means a glorified 'life', a true life. He did not regain the physical form He had on earth.

It does still count.

He DID come back to life. And He will return with His own to destroy all that is evil in the final battle between good and evil.

Besides that, He lives in all His children and gives them the power to walk His way. We do not have power to walk His way by the will of this mortal flesh. But with Christ, all things are possible.
