One husband, many wifes. Not for me.

I would not want to be in a polygamous relationship. But I find it interesting. I asked a question on it a while back too.
It's primarily when one husband has many wives. These people are usually outlawed Mormon sects. They have rules--each wife has to her own kitchen and bedroom I believe.
Personally, I think that if it works for them, if they can afford it, then it should be legal. It's better that the man support all his women & children with money and homes then to ignore them and make the courts chase him for child support.
HBO's new series "Big Love" (which ended a few weeks ago) is about a guy with 3 wives and 7 kids and it was really interesting.

It's spelled polygamy, and it is one husband with multiple wives. I'm more interested in polyandry - one wife with several husbands! It can work quite well but is illegal in Canada. Generally, the husband has to support all his wives and they take care of household stuff, and alternate nights spent with their husband. I could see this appealing to some women who do not want to be in bed with their man every single night. Also more wives means less housework for each of them, which is helpful as you get older.

One note - true polygamy or polyandry is not about kinky sex or anything like that - it's two at a time, not three or more. A lot of people get confused on that point.

Polygamy is having multiple spouses. The only instances I know it is alway one many with multiple wives. From the man's perspective given enough money I suppose it would be fine (as long as you didn't care about any of them). From the womens it would be humiliating. But either way the strong intimate relationship that marriage should be is lost.

Well, I don't agree with polygamy. I think it goes against what God intended for man. So I would have to say that I would not like to be in it. It's hard enough for my husband to deal with me. And I'm not a real fan of other women, so it would never work out for me and my husband.

Polygamy is having more than one wife.
Polyandry is having more than one husband.

I could not be part of a collection, and more than one husband sounds like a pain in the ***.

Polygamy is having more than one husband or wife at once. It is morally wrong and illegal. No I would not want to be in it.
