While these words were originally written for the human, they apply equally well for everybody and everything.

All is Well

Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I, and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference in your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Pray, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was, let it be spoken without effect without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was; there is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just round the corner.

All is well.

May it bring you the peace it bought me when my parents died.

The Bhagavad-Gita teaches us that all living entities are infact not to be identified with their material bodies, but they are eternal spiritual souls who are inhabiting bodies. Upon the death of one material body they might move onto another body depending on their state of consciousness (actions/desires etc).

We are told that :
1. The souls are neither created nor die, they are eternal and not destructible by anything.
2. As we experience change in our bodies from babies, youth, adulthood to old age but we feel ourselves as being the same person, so, in the same way, the soul also passes onto another body at the time of death.
3. Happiness and distress go hand-in-hand in this material world and they are temporary. We are to tolerate them much as we would the seasons.
4. There is no permanent happiness in this material creation. The only real and lasting happiness is found in the spiritual world.
5. The soul should try and understand the above and then try to go back to their original spiritual origin, with God.

You can be rest assured that your loved ones are still in existence somewhere.

im so sorry u lost your dog. i lost one too just after christmas so i know the pain and heartache u are suffering. your dogs soul is now in heaven. he can run free in gods wonderful gardens and choose where he wants to live and have lots of other doggy friends. he will always love u and wont forget u. its very hard to deal with the death of a beloved pet. it takes time dear. a short time after my beloved dog died, i went and got a new pup, not to replace him, i could never replace him but because i couldnt stand it without the sound of doggy paws, the love and fun they bring u and the house was so quiet without him. my new pup and i have bonded and it has really helped me through this tough time. just let yourself grieve and give yourself time, it can take a long time to get over such a death. i know it hurts so much now, but one day u will think of your dog and smile remembering all the good and fun times. u will be ok honey and your beautiful dog will be watching over u. once again, i am so sorry for your loss. best wishes.

you don't deal with the loss ,you accept it has happened , and cry;

then, you sit down quietly and write about him /her , remember how he was and how happy you were together .

you gave him the best love you could ,he had a great life , and he will suffer no more

remember your dogs spirit ,will stay around for you, a comfort when you hurt and are missing him

I am convinced that our pets, will go up to heaven and we will join them one day.
.
Time makes death of a loved one easier to bear. though you will never forget him ,

think happy thoughts of him and soon ,you will be able to smile remembering your lovely pet .

My heart goes out to you, i have been through the loss of several wonderful pets , so i am right there with you.

Consider the catapiller that dies, it becomes the beautiful butterfly!

Let the spirit of your fav doggy transform into the beautiful energy that he/she has surely become and let him/her move on, holding the memories of the wonderful times you shared in your heart, to bring you the joy and happiness that doggy would want you to feel now!

Hugz to you. The death of a loved one (yes, pets are loved ones too) is difficult. I think they greet us on the other side.

Don't listen to the orthodox religions.. they are heartless and will try to convince you your dog had no soul.
