That's your personal feeling, not mine. I feel as though there is a world that compels me to believe and so I do. The same Earth that you look at and see as empty of any sort of belief, I see as totally full, brimming and just waiting for humanity to accept it.

Have you ever looked around you? His invisible qualities are clearly seen in everything around you. Take a look at all of the different cycles that make life on Earth possible. The Earth is positioned perfectly to foster life. If it was just a little closer or farther from the sun there would be no life...Did that just "happen"? If the Earth didn't rotate the way it does, one side of the planet would fry the other would freeze...The orbit of the Earth is almost circular which also prevents the extremes in temperature. These are just a few compelling reasons I believe.

Here.
Let me re-quote you:
"There is nothing on Earth to compel someone to believe"
Now - think about all the wonderful things, people and places in and around YOUR world.
Imagine all the wonders and miracles that occur daily.
What?
You can't?
Okay...let me help you out.

You were born - not by some machine, but from a human being.
Who made that being?
Think of all the intricate parts of a human - the way the blood, nerves, braincells all work.
Think of the way life is created...on all levels.
Who created all that life?
It wasn't anyone I can imagine...I believe it was something much bigger than us.

How about today, the sun is shining, wind blowing...there are cosmic forces at work every day.
The stars in the sky...the moon, the tides, the nebula (see link).
What created these things?
I have to believe it was some kind of supreme being.

So, dwell on these things...the everyday common events - from a new born baby to the air you breath and imagine what might have caused this to happen.
Then ask yourself if there really is "nothing on Earth" that would compel people to believe in something larger than our life.

The thing about faith is it CAN'T be compelled. That is why it is faith. It is a matter of the heart. The Bible states that it's teachings would be considered foolishness by the foolish. Apparently, that is why there are so many who have trouble believing.

Get a Bible and read Job Chp 38 and 39, you can look it up online if you don't have a Bible... What holds up the earth in space? Did you know that the earth is the perfect size for life? Any bigger, gravity would be overwhelming, any smaller not enough gravity for the atmosphere, tilted perfectly for four seasons, I hope you seek knowledge and not opinions. I hope you find what you seek. :)

Faith is basically the belief in the unseen and unprovable. It is a comfort for most to believe that at least SOMETHING exists "out there." It is interesting that so many non-believers are absolutely vitriolic in their denial of a higher power. Granted there are too many "Christians" who do not live their faith (and perfectly moral atheists), and as usual, they give the majority a bad name. But consider: if you live life believing, and die to discover that there is no God, you have lost nothing. If you deny God, and you discover that He exists... Actually, I believe that God would show compassion even to an unbeliever (after slappin' him upside the head to get his attention!).

Belief is a choice like anything else. I don't know how the air in the atmosphere is made or why it's there. I can't see it, but I sure believe in it. Just because we can't use our 5 senses to determine that something is real is not an indication that it isn't. Just my 2 cents on the whole matter.

u cant find blessings in your life? that your a person of all powers good or bad? can you not see the miracle of children and the complete open hearts they have..of course until all these human wrondoings ruin them? im trying to anwser you by showing you there is absolute something higher that is above us in this life..reality whatever.. these blessings and more are here not from anything we are doing..only a few of us may be "angels" living among us but certainly not enuff here to make these blessings..my opinion is... it is worth believing in something or some force or the one lord because faith WILL lead you to be able to observe all the more tangible reasons to believe .good luck to you and your journey.. o and i am compeled to believe YOU are a blessing too..all the more reason 4 me to believe:)

Belief cannot be compelled.Faith in a better way/day enables us not to be so bogged down in our own drama that we become stagnant and die out as a species.Faith-something hoped for yet not seen/manifest.From a place of faith our creativity takes flight.Look around cellphones, pagers, cars, planes, houses, clothes, jewelry, books, dancing, etc.. all began with an idea,faith/belief that it could be,and elbow grease. We are surrounded by evidence of the power of faith and the miracles that it can inspire daily. Peace.

I think its called faith, either you have it or don't. Proof (compelling or not) deigns faith in as much as many want to have both.
