The notion of evil is tool create an other whom you can loath, kill and bomb. If you look at the history, there has always been someone or something that has unjustifiably caste as evil so that rest of the population can be rallied together.
So these oppositions of Believer-Unbeliever, White-Black, Good-Evil were created. We believe in these as though these oppositions were unidirectional and unchanging realities, irrespective of the perspective. From the point of view of Frankenstein the world of the beautiful is ugly, from the social out-castes point of view the 'respectable' are an abomination. Same is true with Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Jews, etc the way they caste the other as evil.
This whole fascinating enterprise is human, including God and whom he loves and whom he hates! (which is actually a projection of our own views onto some unquestionable authority to make our own view unquestionable!)

Yes, God is all good. He created nothing evil, but good would not have any meaning unless it had its opposite. Just like there is really no such thing as cold, it is simply the absence of heat, so how it is with good. Evil is simply the absence of good. And God is just...he gave man free-will, thus we are the ones who make the choice to create evil, or so to speak, not do good, just as Adam and Eve chose not to do what was good. Hope that helps and isn't too confusing

Well Satan is the lord of evil. Satan like all came from god. So then Satan had to have evil in him. If all including him came from god, then evil came from god. So god had evil in him, then he is an evil god. So any religion that says there is evil, has an evil god. He has been playing you all this time. ... That is the stuff that makes us atheists.

I would say Satan, but God created him right? So either God created evil and thus is evil or he made a mistake, which wouldn't be very godly. I personally believe that god is actually there and he created everything but he has some ulterior motives we need to think about.

The devil does not balance out God's good. He is not God's equal. He was created by God. God gave all of his creations free will. The Devil certainly does try to influence people. In the end, everyone has to choose between good and evil themselves.

Evil came from the fallen Lucifer that then corrupted Eve who then corrupted Adam. It is not God's fault that there is evil. His intention was to have people living in peace, happiness, and harmony, however, humans used their free will to create evil and the evil has been passed down ever since.

read the first and last books of the bible and it will be clear that evil comes from direct rebellion against God. The Devil did it and tempted Adam and Eve to rebel too. Another term for "evil" found in Isaiah is "disaster" or "ruin"

we have evil because Adam and Eve were thrown out of their evil-free land causing all of their descendants to live in a world anything but paradise. They disobeyed God and so they had to pay for their sins, God still watches over us and prevents us from any true evil even though he is all good.

Evil comes from the wrong choices and actions which man makes because God gives all men the gift of Choice. Karma is the fruit of Action. Good action gives good karma. The concept is similar whether you are a Christian, Muslim, Hindu, or Buddhist.
