I've been questioning this for a long time... im the type of person who needs proof of something to believe it. i really dont know whether to believe in god or not. i mean, how do we know that the bible is not just a made up pack of lies?

I am curious if it bothers you that Christians think of you in the same way? Christians think of you both as cults that have been mislead and have interpreted scripture wrong. How come all Christian Churches accept and recognize divorce?
Jesus forbid divorce in Matthew 5:31-32. The Catholic Church is the only church left that does not recognize or allow divorce. Many Christians have gone against Jesus! Catholics are faithful to the words of Jesus.

This was the original lie at the Garden when Satan tricked Eve and ultimately all of humanity into beleiving that we could be as God.
We are not God, just because or pitiful and limited human logic can't prove he exists doesn't mean he doesn't. God is infinitely smarter than all of us and we need to humble ourselves and let the Holy Spirit of God guide us to the truth--Jesus!!

I have practically been a Christian as long as I can remember. After the 2000 election I started disliking the feeling I was getting at my church or from my fellow Christians. I was beginning to feel like I was being manipulated politically and was being told I was a 'bad Christian' because I am a far left liberal who believes that I have no right to impose my belief system on anyone else.

So with that said, I started researching my racial heritage, jewish. (For some reason, a lot of Americans are unaware being jewish is also a race) Anyways, I really liked the everything about their social views. I mean REALLY liked! They totally agree with me.

BUT, I know there is no way I could ever give up the belief in Jesus. So now, I'm just wondering where do I fit in anymore? I don't go to church anymore but I do daily prayer and Bible reading as I was always taught

Maybe I should join the group Jews for Jesus. Anybody else ever been so turned off by their 'church' that they had this dilema?

Another problem we have in facing the hatred and horror of Islam, is with our own simple view of humanity.

I grew up with Disney and Christian morality (both related). Outside the horrible concept of hell, this upbringing was pleasant, but I have grown up.

After studying Islam (among other things), in depth, I have learned that humans are neither good or bad. We must take humans culture by culture. If you raise a human in canibal culture, he may see you as lunch, but he is not evil because of his unfortunate upbringing.

Muslims are not evil, they are just born and raised in a culture of the highest form of intolerance. The problem is, many nieve Americans, raised on Disney and Jesus always believe that "it all works out" and most people are "good".

This is exactly why some many people say the great stupidity of our time "dont blame all muslims for the actions of a few". Surely historians will mock us for this mentality.

While no other culture does what Muslims do...

I want to know how long Adam and Eve were in the garden before they began to die... There's the rub!
There is no verifiable answer to this question so... "We cannot say because the Bible doesn't say" is the only true acceptible answer.
This is an experiment, be creative and have a bit of fun with this one. I have a theory but I won't share it until I get some other opinions.

I wouldn't be against teaching unitelligent design. It's not that someone created us that seems too far for me to believe, it's that people make them out to be perfect. I don't think the intellegnce always comes with power. And the power often blinds the intelect even if it does exist. Just as jelous tempertantrums do.... So stuff like that doesn't point towards intelligence.

Jesus,God in the flesh came to earth to be the perfect representation of what God intented for man to live by: HUMBLE, patient,loving, etc.
Therefore, Jesus humbled himself when others tried to label him as God, instead he glorified God the Father even though he was also God.
You may know from the scripture...
"In the begining was the word(Jesus), and the word was with God and the word was God."

Dont give me a religious answer of a cliched response. Like --

"You must respect all religions". Ye dufuss? Why?

"Christianty teaches me to..." Oh yea idiot, well Muslims love that one, they mock it all the time. Charles Darwin love it to, its called "letting the predator eat the self-loathing prey"

Christians, if youve read me before, you know I dont hate Christianty. Humanity can co-exist with Christianty, even with idiots like Falwell pushing ID.

But then again, maybe we cant live with Christianty. Hear me out. You see, when you really look at it, all this ridiculous political correctness and endless forgiveness of the Islamic world, comes from Christian morality.

Ok, forgiveness and tolerance are cool. Love it, but if it has no exception, then your stupidity feeds us to the Islamic wolves.

Muslims love to mock this "turn the cheek" morality. Sure, a general who is also Christian will still attack, but what about people not under command?

There is nothing in the New Testament that contradicts the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church is the New Testament Church. Of all the Churches, The RC is the one that most closely resemble the one in the N.T. The leadership and sacraments of the Church are all found there.
