John 12:31-32 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.....And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. These words are printed red in the KJV, which means Jesus said them,is that right?

I don't believe in the bible or other religions. They're views and ethics are good, but I don't believe in the 'facts' they suggest. I can't have that much blind faith in a book (bible) that has been written by a person, and re-written 1000's of times over 1000's of years by 1000's of people.

For one thing, Adam and Eve: Think about this. One man and one women populating the earth..? No. It's impossible, but how else is someone from the that time frame suppossed to think mankind started. Evolution would be beyond their thinking and likely an instult. I know....it's not impossible because of god. It makes things simple like that. God is the answer to anything and everything:questions we can't answer=god, something to pray to something to blame, something to thank =god.

For the same reasons as above, I can't just not believe in god-I too need something to blame or pray to/hope for and thank. God is a crutch for man and whether he exists or not, we can't live without him.

I am a Christian, but I do not believe that the Bible should be taken literally. There is so much information that is missing, like historical, cultureal and social context. Also, the original text was written in a language that is no longer "common." I think our "modern" Bible is based on a greek translation, so we are reading a translation of a translation, etc. I don't understand Christians who exclude, spread hate and negativity based on their shrewd interpretation of a "faulty" text. What do you think?

How can America be rid of the disease of Islam without doing harm to the Consitution?

Should we adopt the measures France has? Hijab bans and laws requiring any immigrent to prove cultural adaptablity?

I dont think it will work. As for immigration, no Muslims should be allowed in, period, and I suspect we are already doing that.

So imagine the next Islamic catastropic terror attack from within, what do we do? Well, immediately maybe we do what we did with the our Japenese citzens in WW2, but long term, one solution could be an evolution curriculum.

You see, its the ignorant filthy hate imam's that indoctrinate the young to do their filthy bidding, but what if we finally had a hearty evolution curriculum that competed with these monkeys (no pun intended)?

This law would apply to private school as well, so there of course would be First Amend debates there...but imagine.

Every kid being exposed to teachers dedicated only to evolution.

In Matthew 26, Mark 14, and Luke 22, Jesus says of the bread, "This is my body." He says of the wine, "This is my blood." Not "this is symbolic of," or "this represents," He says "this IS." In John 6, He repeats Himself, like He does nowhere else in Scripture, to emphasize the fact that He expects us to eat His flesh and drink His blood and that His flesh is real food and that His blood is real drink.

Anyone who says He is speaking symbolically, and not literally, simply is refusing to look at all of the facts. Fact #1: The Jews took him literally, verse 52. Fact #2: His disciples took him literally, verse 60. Fact #3, the Apostles took him literally, verses 67-69. If everyone who heard him speak at the time took Him literally, then my question is: Why does anyone today, 2000 years after the fact, take him symbolically?

Also, in verse 51, Jesus says that the bread which He will give for the life of the world is His flesh. When did He give His flesh for the life of the world? On the cross. Was that symbolic? If you think Jesus is speaking symbolically here when He says that we must eat His flesh and drink His blood, then you must also conclude that Jesus' death on the cross was symbolic...it wasn't really Jesus hanging up there...it was symbolic flesh and symbolic blood.

Jesus is clearly talking about the flesh that He gave for the life of the world...He did that on the cross. Those who believe He is talking symbolically here in John 6, have a real problem when it comes to John 6:51. Did Jesus give His real flesh and blood for the life of the world, or was it only His symbolic flesh and blood?

i believe thats if a jehova witness compared the new world translation created by watchtower writers.to any other translation they would see why christian think of the watchtower as acult.on my study the nwt bible changes john 1:1,3 from the king james or anyother version of bibles THE WORD WAS GOD TO THE WORD WAS A GOD AND THEY ADDED THE WORD {OTHER} TO HIS CREATION WHICH IS NOT IN ANTOTHER TRANSLATION I READ SO WHAT THE WATCHTOWER IS TRYING TO DO IS TO MAKE THERE TRANSLATION FIT THERE DOCTRINE THATS WHY THEY SAY THAT JESUS ITS A LESSER GOD. BUT THEY SHOULD KNOW THAT JESUS CAN'T BE A LESSER GOD BECAUSE THAT WOULD MAKE HIM 1 OF 2 THINGS OR HE'S JEHOVAH IN THE FLESH OR HE'S A FALSE GOD SINCE ANY OTHER GOD IS A FALSE GOD.{ISAIAH45:18.} FOR THIS IS WHAT THE LORD SAYS HE WHO CREATED {THE WORD} THE HEAVENS HE IS GOD HE WHO FASHION AND MADE THE EARTH {THE WORD} HE FOUNDED IT HE DID NOT CREATED IT TO BE EMPTY BUT FORM IT TO BE INHABITED HE SAYS I AM THE LORD AND THERE IS NO OTHER GOD

The Bible commands stoning to death fo the alcoholic, and describes the addiction as gluttony, and even while the alcoholic is still under the care and protection of his parents, who must have him stoned to death(Deuteronomy 21:18-21).
The Gospels report Jesus as providing wine at the wedding at Cana to increase drunkenness, and as a Sacrament at the last supper.
John the Baptist "shall be great in the sight of the Lord and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink" (Luke 1:15) and John said he was not worthy to unloose the latchet of Christ's shoes (Luke 3:16), which is an indication that Christ would be greater and therefore never sin by gluttony or drunkenness and promoting sin.
John's mother named him John and refused a change of name for him (Luke 1:59,60), while the Gospels refuse to show the mother of Christ naming him Immanuel as the Bible prophesied and commanded.
Jesus appears 616 times in the 4 Gospels while Christ appears 51 times in the brainwash of the reader.

The last time I checked, this is the Religion and Spirituality section of Yahoo Answers.

Do they think there is a gun up to their head making them believe? Obviously not or they would not be putting my beliefs down.

No one is forced to believe in my beliefs. They are what they are.

I don't say that an atheist is forcing their beliefs on me, because I am secure in knowing what I believe.

The Moon God

"Allah" is from the compound Arabic word "al-ilah" or in english "the god". Allah was known before Muhammad's time without a doubt. His name has been found in pre-islamic writings and other archeological finds. At the Kabah in Mecca over 350 gods were worshipped, but it was built especially for the chief deity - the moon god. Allah was the personal title of the moon god. Allah was married to the sun goddess. They produced three daughters, whose worship Muhammad would later make the mistake of condoning. The crescent moon symbol of Arabia came from this god.

Muhammad's family revered this particular god, and it is this idol that Muhammad declared to be the only true god. So, Allah - far from being the revealed God of the Bible as Muhammad would have us believe - is nothing more than an amplified pagan idol. Muhammad did not re-make the pagan god, he simply removed the lower deities from the rites of worship. That is why he never had to explain who Allah was. By definition, an idol converted in the 7th century into a new god cannot be the sama God revealed thousands of years earlier to Biblical prophets!

The following is my opinion on the book of revelation. i hope others with an interest in religion will enjoy this, then comment, so we can get some interesting discussion going.
Revelation is the center piece of modern Judeo-Christian apocalypse mythology. It was originally written by John (not the baptist) as a letter to other christians of his time. John wrote this letter while imprisoned by the romans (for being a christian) on the island of patmos.

In such situations people have a tendency to either go insane from isolation or tap into their subconscious for company. and im not just saying that to be funny. if any person, even a mentally healthy person, is deprived of sentient stimulus, then they will hallucinate (both auditory and visual) simply because the brain becomes bored and seeks entertainment.

Dear friends, I am not writing a new commandment, for it is an old one you have always had, right from the beginning. This commandment – to love one another – is the same message you heard before. Yet it is also new. (1 John 2:7-8 NLT)

This is just so stupid I just had to post it lol

Before anyone starts quoting their religious dogma in the form of scripture I will add that is futile as it is simply the source of your program and it will not answer the question for me. You must think this one outside the pages of the program. And all the vagueness based "that's where faith comes in", and the, "god works in mysterious ways" when a religion blatantly contradicts itself or logic is defied will not work either. Has anyone questioned your belief system? If so what brought you back to it again? Why do you believe in a particular religion over another? I believe in a universal power and intelligent design and so I am not an atheist, or agnostic. I recognize spirituality as real but religion for me is a massive man made mess. And please don't get angry. I am very sincere in trying to understand this aspect of human nature, and the need some have for a religion while others seem to have no need at all for religion but a strong belief in the spiritual.

The 4 gosple writers of The Bible were close to Jesus (2 apostles, 2 friends). They were written no longer than 40 years after Jesus. Yet, the Gnostic gospels were written about 200 years later!! They contradict the 4 gospels. They are heresy! The gnostic writers didn't even know Jesus so how could they write about him?
