Here is a list of the seven gifts from the Holy Spirit.

Wisdom

Understanding

Counsel

Fortitude

Knowledge

Piety

Fear of the Lord.

The Symbols represent :

Water - Water is the symbol for Baptism.

Anointing - Anointing with oil symbolizes the Holy Spirit. They are like one of the same.

Fire - Fire represents the Holy Spirit's actions and energy.

Cloud and light - These combined pictures are seen as the Holy Spirit.

The seal is a symbol close to that of anointing - "The Father has set his seal" on Christ and also seals us in him.

The hand - By using His hand Jesus blessed and healed children. Apostles imitate Him by doing the same in Jesus's name..

The finger - The Holy Spirit is like God's Finger.

The dove - A dove was released after Noah returned from the flood.

Sometimes things can't be boiled down to cute little symbols or catchy phrases. Sorry, nothing comes to mind that would encompass the awesome gifts given by God through the Holy Spirit to believers.

when I was a little girl.. in sunday school.. they used sandals, a shield, a sword, etc etc etc... is that what you mean??

I. The Holy Spirit is God:

Eternal - Heb. 9:14 - "How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead to serve the living God"

Omnipresent - Psalm 139:7-12 - "Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence" He is everywhere

Omniscient - 1Cor. 2:10 - "But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God" He knows all things

Omnipotent - Luke 4:14 - "And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee"

Self existent - Romans 8:2-"For the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death"

II. Who is the Holy Spirit?

The Spirit of God - Gen. 1.1 & 2 - "The Spirit of God moved upon the waters"; 1Cor. 3:16 - "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you"

The Spirit of the Lord - Isaiah 11.2 - "And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel & might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.

The Spirit of the Living God - 2Cor. 3:3 - "Forasmuch as ya are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, not in tables of stone, but in fleshly tables of the heart"

The Spirit of the Lord God - Isaiah 61.1 - "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound

The Holy Spirit of God - Eph. 4:30 - "And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ya are sealed until the day of redemption"

The Good Spirit - Neh. 9:20 - "Thou gavest also thy good spirit to instruct them, and withheldest thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst"

The Spirit of Christ - Romans 8:9 - "Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His"

The Spirit of His Son - Gal. 4:6 - "And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts , crying, Abba, Father"

His Spirit - Isaiah 48:16 - "Come ye near unto me, hear ye this, I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I; and now the Lord God and His Spirit hath sent me"

Thy Spirit - Psalm 139:7 - "Whither can I go from thy spirit"

My Spirit - Gen. 6:3 - "And the Lord said, My Spirit shall not always strive with man."

The Glory of the Father - Romans 6:4 - "Christ was raised up from the dead by the Glory of the Father"

The Spirit of Adoption - Rom. 8.15 - "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father"

The Spirit of Truth - John 16:13 - "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth, for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak"

The Spirit of Holiness - Romans 1.4 - "And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of Holiness, by the resurrection from the dead"

The Spirit of Life - Romans 8:2 - "For the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus, hath made me free from the law of sin and death"

The Spirit of your Father - Matt. 10:20 - "For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you"

The Spirit of Him - Romans 8:11 - "But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you" 19. The Free Spirit - Psalms 51:12 - "Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with thy free spirit"

III. The Holy Spirit is Sovereign and Supreme:

He led Christ into the wilderness - Matt. 4:1 Who but a Divine person had the right to direct the Mediator? And to whom else would the Divine redeemer have submitted?

He distributes spiritual gifts as He wills - 1Cor. 12:11 He has the distribution of all spiritual gifts according to his own pleasure for His own rule.

He calls men to the work of the ministry - Acts 13:2-4 This is solely a divine prerogative. He appointed their work, commanded they be set apart and sent them forth.

He sets officers in the church - Acts 20:28

IV. The Holy Spirits Godhead :

1.He anointed Christ for His work - Isa. 61:1; John 3:34

2.He was the progenitor of the formation of Christ in Mary's womb - Matt. 1.20

3.The miracles of Christ were performed by the Holy Spirits power - Matt. 12:38

4.He raised Christ from the dead - Rom. 8:11

5.God garnished the heavens by the Holy Spirit - Job 26:13

6.All scripture is given by inspiration of God - 2Ti.3:16;

7.The source of which is the Spirit Himself 2Pet.1:21

8.He is involved in the work of divine providence - Acts 16:6,7

THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

What is the purpose? To confirm the Word of God! (Mk. 16-17-20; John 14:12; Acts 1:1-8; Rom. 12:2-3; Rom. 15:18-19,29; 1Cor. 1:7; 12:11; 28-31; 1Cor. 14:1-40 & Heb. 2:3-4)

Who may have them? Every believer! (Rom. 1:11; 12:3-8; John 7:37-39; John 14:12; Mark 16:17-20; 1Cor. 12:7-11; & 1Cor. 1:7)

Can one have all of them? Yes! (Matt. 17:20; 21:22; Mark 9:23; 11:22-24; John 14:12; 15:7, 16; Eph. 3:19; James 1:5-8)

Has one man ever received all of them? Yes! (John 3:34; Rom. 15:29; Acts 5:12; 14:19)

Should one be afraid of getting an evil spirit manifestation instead? No! (Luke 11:11-13)

Are the gifts permanent or temporary? Permanent! (Rom. 11:29)

Can the gifts be misused? Yes! (1Cor. 13:1-3; 14:1-40; Num. 20:7-13; Deut. 32:48-52)

Where should the gifts be used? Where needed! (1Cor. 12:7, 12-31; 1Cor. 14:1-40) Many examples are given in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and throughout the book of Acts and other books.

When should the gifts be used? When needed! (1Cor. 12:7; 14:3-6, 12, 17, 26; Rom. 12:3-8) Many examples are given in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and throughout the book of Acts and other books.

Can gifts be neglected in use? Yes! (1Tim. 4:14; 2Tim. 1:6)

Can gifts be used in a backslidden state? Yes! (1Cor. 13:1-3)

Do we need the gifts today? Yes! We need them for the same reasons others needed them in the early church! (Mark 16:15-20; John 10:10; Acts 1:8; Acts 10:38; Rom. 1:11; 1Cor. 1-7; 12:1-31)

Are the gifts still for the church today? Yes! They are for every believer! (Mark 16:15-20; John 10:10; Acts 1:8; Acts 10:38; Rom. 1:11; 1Cor. 1-7; 12:1-31

How can we know when we have received them? When the Spirit operates through us to accomplish their intended purpose! (Acts 2:3-4; 10:46; 19:6; 1Cor. 12:4-11, 28-31; 14:1-40)

Are the gifts to continue throughout this age? Yes! (Matt. 3:11; 28:20; Mark 9:23; 11:22-24; 16:15-20; John 7:37-39; 14:12-17, 26; 15:26; 16:13-15; Acts 1:4-8; 2:38-39; 5:32; 1Cor12:7, etc.)

REVELATION GIFTS

Word of Wisdom: This is a supernatural revelation or insight into the divine will and purpose, showing how to solve any problem or question which may arise. (1Kings 3:16-28; Matt. 2:20; Luke 22:10-12; John 2:22&24; 4:16-19; Acts 26:16; 27:21-25; 1Cor. 5)

Word of Knowledge: Supernatural revelation of divine knowledge, or insight in the divine mind, will, or plan; and also the plans of others or a specific situation in that man could not known unless told. (Gen. 1:1-2:25; 1Sam. 3:7-15; 2Kings 6:8-12; Acts 9:11-12; Matt. 16:16; John 1:1-3; Acts 5:3-4; 21:11; Eph. 3)

Discerning of spirits: Supernatural revelation or insight into the realm of spirits to detect them and their plans. (Matt. 9:4; Luke 13:16; John 2:25; Acts 13:9-10; 16:16; 1Tim. 4:14; 1John 4:1-6)

INSPIRATIONAL GIFTS

Prophecy: A supernatural utterance in the native tongue. It is a miracle of divine utterance not conceived by human thought or reasoning and it includes speaking to me to edification, exhortation, and comfort. Tongue (1Cor. 14:3); Comfort (1Cor. 14:3); Reason (Acts 3:21; 11:28; 21:11; 2Peter 1:21; 1Cor. 14:23-32)

Divers kinds of tongues: Supernatural utterance in another language not known to speaker. (Isa. 28:11; Mark 16:17; Acts 2:4; 10:44-48; 19:1-7; 1Cor. 12:10, 28-31; 13:1-3; 14:2, 4-22, 26, 27-32)

Interpretation of tongues: A supernatural ability to interpret in the native tongue what is uttered in other languages not known by the one who interprets by the Spirit. (1Cor. 15:10; 14:5, 13-15, 27-28)

POWER (WORKING) GIFTS

Gift of faith: Supernatural ability to believe God without human doubt, unbelief, or reasoning. (Rom. 14:7; James 1:5-8; Matt. 17:20; 21:22; Mark 9:23; 11:22-24; Heb. 11:6; 12:1-3)

Gift of healings: Supernatural gift to heal all manner of diseases without human aid or medication. (Mark 16:18; John 14:12; 1Cor. 12:9)

Gift of working of miracles: Supernatural power to intervene in the ordinary course of nature and to counteract natural laws if necessary. (1Cor. 15:10, 27-31; Heb. 2:3-4; Psa. 107; Exo. 7:10-14:21; 2Kings 4:1-44; 6:1-7; Matt. 17:20; Mark 9:23; 11:22-24; John 14:12)
