Because sometimes deep inside I think that atheists really do have doubts about what they believe or don't believe.

Because They Hear What They Choose To Decide To Hear And Reverse It Back To Blame The Christians Because It's Convenient For Christians To Suffer The Blame Than Them!.......This Is What Causes Strife, Discord, And Problems In Communication! They Love Playing That Game!.....

Do you really have to ask why? I think you are smart enough to figure it out, from what other questions you have asked before.....

Every time I hear this phrase, I get ready to say "No thanks" as I have heard it all before. And then I get ready to be "told I am wrong" for my choice. "Saved" implies there is a hell, or a form of punishment that a person has to get saved from. I do not appreciate that implication as it implies no love at all. My parents taught me better than that.

EDIT I snipped out some of the answers but kept the main idea of my answer. My sincere apologies if I have offended anyone. Feel free to email me with comments...just be civil. :-)

i really hate seeing christians saying such issues as this. It makes me indignant and unhappy at the same time. at the same time as i turned right into a clean born christian I had an elder contained in the church question my salvation and say exceedingly a lot an same element you're saying now. i really do not see the effective fee in christians doing that to at least one yet another or to someone who became previously following Jesus and christianity. you need to maintain in mind that guy won't be able to see what's contained in the middle of yet another, yet God can. And God should be the in undemanding words one which ought to question the position yet another persons coronary heart is at. i love and appreciate you NCWJ yet lately a number of your questions have truly been scraping the bottom of the barrel. i'm commencing to contemplate even if I had the incorrect idea about you and is this the actual you?

Because, chances are, the Christian is only informing the atheist that "jesus saves" as a last ditch effort to "save" said atheist's soul before he/she dies and burns in the lake of hellfire...or some such nonsense. They're not just saying it to make conversation.

Because they think that since they are saying Jesus saves, not being a believer would mean they don't get saved, and go to hell. Well, I think that's why anyway.

In the end their shall be a great falling away from the faith.

You can not push your beliefs onto others, but testify and witness to those whom choose to listen. Through the ultimate sacrifice, Jesus' life & cruxifiction, we were given free will and free choice. We can only spread God's word, not attempt to force it onto others.

God Bless.

I think that being an atheist requires innate negativism. When someone offers them a positive outlook/belief for their life the atheist is able to hear it as a negative.

we don't need to be saved. The idea of being saved presumes the idea of hell. Thus the original statement is a pressuposition of
a fallacious concept we don't share. Part of this is their projection and part of it is your projection. Mostly, you seem confused about where other peoples boundaries with concepts are.
