There is nothing in the New Testament that contradicts the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church is the New Testament Church. Of all the Churches, The RC is the one that most closely resemble the one in the N.T. The leadership and sacraments of the Church are all found there.

Matthew 23:9, "And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in Heaven." Notice, however, that this makes no distinction between spiritual fathers, which is what priests are to Catholics, and biological fathers. In other words, if you interpret this passage to say, absolutely, that no man is to be called father, you cannot distinguish between calling a priest, father, and calling the man who is married to your mother, father.

Prayer of a righteous man is very powerful; James 5:16, 1 Ptr 3:12, Heb 12:22-23, Job 42:7-10, Ex 17:8-13
. Saints in Heaven do not have the same limitations that we have on Earth: Rev 21:21;1 Cor 13:12; 1 Cor 15:49; 2 Ptr 1:4; 1 Cor 2:9
1) Saints in Heaven are alive, not dead;
2) Saints and angels in Heaven have some knowledge of events, present and future, on Earth; and some knowledge of interior dispositions;
3) This knowledge is not of their own power, it is only through Jesus Christ.

Probably because there is a different version of the Ten Commandments in the Roman Catechism and they changed the Sabbath law. You could also say that they make graven images, pray to Mary (something I've never seen in the Bible), and think they have the power to forgive sins and make people saints. Didn’t you ever read Luther’s thesis?

It all goes back to the Lutheran and Protestant movement, I happen to have been schooled in a protestant branch, the main contradiction being the efigies of Mother Mary, and other saints (considered false gods and idols in the protestant movement) It's really more about interpretation than anything else. Of course there are numerous things that can be picked on in the spirit of controversy. I don't worship anymore because of the confusion. Let me know if you have any more to say on the matter. It's interesting. As far as the verses go, remember that Jesus also said that those who were called would be used to heal, to teach, and to forgive sins. After all the different messages, depending on who preached them, and then going through the Bible with a fine tooth comb, I can see where some things symbolic are taken literally and those literal are changed to suit the majority of church influence. That is why I don't worship in a church, I don't know who is right.

The roman catholic church is based on mostly works, although the believe in the triune God, they also consider mary as a divine person, calling her mother of God.
the catholic chuch refers to the chuch as a whole. meaning from past present and futre, the Rc church is NO part of the true Universal church, but only impliest that it is, since, St. peter, or apostle peter was a the first pope. The message that peter recieved is different in as in the modrrn day church on must have works to achieve salvation. The Roman catholic church is not the church that Peter and other apostles set up. if you call going to a father to absolve you sin, or bowing before the heavenly father in the form of a man dressed in white, then you have missed tho whole point of salvation.Nuns, Fathers, sister, and the pope didnt die for our sin, Jesus did, There is only one Heavenly father,and one master.

I believe the word "Father" is looked at in a spiritual sense.
Meaning Father in Heaven is the only Father who can forgive your sins. So when you go to confession and ask for forgiveness who is forgiving your sins. The priest which you call "Father" or the Father in Heaven? And forgiving of sins is another story about Catholics.
I see you quoted the confessions part after I said my answer. Let me give a scenario then. You go to confession because you sinned against your friend for stealing his money. Priest says don't do it again and go say 10 Our Fathers and 10 Hail Marys and your forgiven. Your friend come along and hits you. You say I'm forgiven because I went to confession.
Priest forgiving sins doesn't make any sense nor biblical.

I would strongly recommend the Book, 'The Two Babylons' by Rev. Alexander Hislop. He States:
This amazing volume proves the Papal worship to be actually the worship of Nimrod and his wife, complete in every detail. The Introduction notes that "The Providence of God, conspiring with the Word of God, by light pouring in form all quarters, makes it more and more evident that Rome is in very deed the Babylon of the Apocalype; that the essential character of her system, the grand objects of her worship, her festivals, herdoctrine and discipline, her rites and ceremonies, her priesthood and their orders, have all been derived from ancient Babylon; and, finally that the Pope himselfis truly and properly the lineal representative of Belshazar."
Very interesting research for all serious Bible students considering the vast information of paganism and it customs pratice today by many of Christendom churches.
The book 'The Two Babylons' by Rev. Alexander Hislop has been known to be used by many known secular scholars and historians and theologians alike, and is considered as a 'Christian literature of apologetics'. With a wealth of material, facts and insights in ancient history on pagan religion.

The RC is a contradiction in itself. I used to be a Catholic and not anymore. I will NEVER go back to this false religion.
I am looking at the verses you gave:
Luke 22:19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." How is this establishing the priesthood? They were having communion.
Matthew 16:18-20:
18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." 20 Then he warned his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Christ.
The church is built on the rock. Peter is not the Rock. The only TRUE foundation or rock is Christ. Please read your Bible carefully. Do not allow anyone to interpret the Bible for your. Let the Bible interpret itself.
John 20:21-23:
21 Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven." These verses tells us that WE ALL should forgive one another. These verses in no way say that the Priest is to be the one to forgive sins in place of God. No way. Read it again please.

Sure there is... there are contradictions between every denomination and the Bible. For one thing, man invented 'church membership' and 'catechism'. And I don't think the Bible lays out the hierarchy between Bishop, Cardinal, Pope, and Priest either... And it doesn't say we should pray to dead persons and ask them to intercede on our behalf. And it doesn't say Mary is pretty much right behind Jesus on the list of people to revere. She just had the kid.

I think that the biggest problem with Catholicism and what Jesus taught is praying to saints. Jesus never said that you could pray to saints, actually he said the only way to get to the father was through him. There is a lot more, but that's one of the biggest.
