Since there is evidence that Muhammad borrowed other religious material when writing the Quran, the Quran is invalidated as being pure revelation from God. Wouldn't that make the Quran a deception and Muhammad an impostor?

An idea is just that, but when you can get others to believe in that idea, it becomes an idea in progress no matter how many mistakes the idea causes, because the goal of the idea is the completion of the idea, staying steadfast to the idea and without regard of the nonbelievers points of view, because other than the idea itself are wrong and meaningless even if the idea is in need of change . As the idea evolves it answers for itself or answers can be found to answer itself, therefore casting any nonbeliever of the idea out of the idea and therefore the nonbeliever have no right to share in the completion of the idea, unless they are saved by the idea, therefore everyone is given a chance to believe in the idea. Regardless if the idea is true or not has no meaning, for the believer is sold into the idea and any mistakes of the idea is placed on mankind because it is mankind that is causing harm not the idea .

we are always reassured that god made us in his image.

however, god is a father.

so why aren't there only fathers?

why are there women too?

does this mean that mothers should try to be like fathers?

women like men?

girls like boys?

goddess like god?

is that why the goddess has disappeared from legitimate religious experience? is that why women are afforded no positions of power in the church?

if god, 'the father', made us in His image, then why are there men and women, and not only men?
