Since there is evidence that Muhammad borrowed other religious material when writing the Quran, the Quran is invalidated as being pure revelation from God. Wouldn't that make the Quran a deception and Muhammad an impostor?

1. The bible wasn't translated into Arabic yet - So there was no way for him to hear these stories?
2. Prophet Muhammad was illiterate - Did his ears work?
3. having the same story doesn't mean at all that he borrowed it
there were many Christians and Jews at his time they would've said that - they did
4. last thing to add it clearly says the same stories because it is from the same person "God" :) - it clearly is not the same one

From which unauthentic source do you give such silly statements? Don't give any stupid websites that are made by pagans to make a point. Muhammad(PBUH) never borrowed anything from any other religious scripture. As it is they were corrupted! The Quran is made up of the commandments of the LORD which was revealed to Muhammad and he in turn preached them to his colleagues. Rather than posting such baseless questions, I suggest you better accept ISLAM or shut up and let the righteous alone.

Yes, indeed Mohammad borrowed most of the stories mentioned in Quran from other religions especially jews and what we now know as the Old Testement. However, if you think Quran is a deception, which is true, you also have to believe that Bible is a deception as well. All the stories in bible are word by word photocopy of ancient myth and stories and all the regulations have been copied from laws of Hamurabi and there is nothing original in Bible as well. Basically Bible and Quran are both very good examples of Plagrisim which could be used in universities since they mention the story without mentioning the source.

Dr. Maurice Bucaille, after a thorough research proved that although Ramses II was known to have persecuted the Israelites in the Bible, he died whilst Moses (pbuh) was taking refuge in Midian.
Ramses II’s son Merneptah succeeded him as Pharaoh. It was Merneptah who drowned during the exodus. In 1898 the mummified body of Merneptah was found in the valley of Kings, in Egypt.
In 1975, Dr. Maurice Bucaille with other doctors received permission to examine the mummy of Merneptah, the findings of which proved that Merneptah probably died from drowning or a violent shock which immediately preceded the moment of drowning.
Thus the Qur’anic verse, that “we shall save his body as a sign”, has been fulfilled by the pharaoh’s body being kept at the Royal Mummies’ room in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
This verse of the Qur’an compelled Dr. Maurice Bucaille, who was a Christian to study the Qur’an. He later wrote a book “The Bible, The Qur’an & Science” and confessed that the author of the Qur’an can be no one else besides God, the Creator and Originator of all Creation, and thus embraced Islam.
All this evidence is sufficient to conclude that the Qur’an was not copied from the Bible. On the contrary the Qur’an is the ‘Furqaan’ i.e. the Criterion to judge right from wrong and truth from error and falsehood. It is the Qur’an that should be used to determine which passage of the Bible may be considered to be the word of God.

First of all, says who that Mohammed borrowed other religious material or he wrote the Quran????! It is true that Prophet Mohammed was illiterate and there would be no way for him to (read and borrow) from the bible or other books. Your claims can not be accepted because he did not have to read and borrow.... that is because the Quran was revealed to him. So it was much like memorizing and reciting it to his followers. F.Y.I, the christians and Jews have heard of his birth and i think it is there in the bible, hopefully. from My general information, i know that the bible is a sacred book until (human hands) started to manipulate it.. the least thing we have to do is to show some musual respect...Jesus and Mohammad and other prophets carried the responsiblity of teaching us some values( respecting other religions is one of them), which i can see that many fail to learn. i hope that my answer fulfilled your curiosity.

Muhammad does not know how to read or write. so for him to be chosen for a Quran then it's a strong evidence of his prophecy.
also God words have been collected in a book called = Quran
and Muhammad words have been collected in a book called = Hadith.
if you compare the Quran with Hadith you will see alot of differences. Quran cannot be a human language. but it's from God indeed.
do you have any idea how its for one man to call the whole arabia (who were idol worshipers) into worshiping One God?

no..
its not about borrowing..
the quran is complicated when read without sound knowledge or a teacher beside u.
therefore god or allah as we muslims call HIM sent down a messenger with his holy book to be the teacher to mankind.
the same goes for all the previous prophets moses, adam noah etc
its like teaching russian to arab
give him dostoyevsky in russian he wont understand a thing but put him beside a russian linguist or person who can teach him he'll then understand.

1. So there was no way for him to hear these stories?
if there was someone to tell him the stories .
why didn't this one tell the stories of the bible himself ??
2.Did his ears work?
again if - Christians and Jews saw that he was saying their stories and claiming it was from Allah.... why didn't they do something ...if you think they did give me one single proof
4. it clearly is not the same one
if it is not the same then why you say that he is borrowing it ????!!!!
