I see people saying it goes to God but I am assuming they mean it goes to the church. Does the church use it to do good in the community or is it used to keep the lights on? When I looked the word up in the dictionary it said: a tenth part of agricultural produce, formerly alloted for the maintenance of the clergy and other church purposes. When did people stop giving corn and start giving cash?

Secular Gov't means freedom of religion for all and freedom from religion for those who do not follow a faith, in a democratic secular country all people are free to worship as they choose, in their homes and in the places of worship and other private places.

God has forgave before in the old testimony for those existed before Jesus:

---------------
Passage Numbers 14:20:
20. GOD said, "I forgive them, honoring your words.

Passage Jeremiah 33:8:
8. And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.

God the most forgiviness do not need anyone to die for the sins of others. everyone responsible of his own sins. good people are not equal to bad people.

I was raised christian, but I have strayed since I was 14. I have gone back and forth between going to church and not going. My husband got baptized about two years ago. I feel like I need to stay strong for him, but I am really questioning what I believe lately. I don't know why I go thru these periods in my life, and I don't know what to do to stop it.

Many assume that because I am defending gay marriage I must be gay. Not so. Why do you think heterosexual people of all religions and non religions would want to defend the right of two people of the same sex to get married?

Did it occur to the sheeple that someone straight would have no problem with someone gay getting married?

The worst sheeple is the ethnocentric sheeple, I believe.
