Theologically I would think they would reference in the Bible where God created things and then looked and said it was good.
But the intellectually honest agruement is while they may get married there sex life would still be sin.
I'm atheist but I find this whole thing, so interesting. Angels on pins type arguements I find cool.

Christians are supposed to love thy neighbour as thyself, if Christian's believe that god made them, then is it not the case that god made people homosexual too. Christan's are supposed to leave the judging up to god and worry about their own lives.
In the case of the bible, it says lots of things including that it is OK to take a person as a slave..... so when do we start to interpret this book with the knowledge we have gained from the past 2000 years.

Because they believe they have no power to judge - god does that. They can not treat others any differently than they would like to be treated! Christians are(should be) taught that they are mearly creations of god and he has the last word on goodness.

God is love.
How, then, can mutual love between two consenting adults be "wrong?"
Marriage as an instituion is more threatened by the Christian practice of marrying when children appear than by committed same sex couples marrying.

Christians can not defend gay marriage. It's wrong in Gods eyes so it has to be wrong in his peoples eyes too.

it's a matter of perspective. Most Chritians choose to avoid persecution of homosexuals without promoting the behavior of homosexuality.

Because they have children, siblings, parents and friends who happen to be gay -- and who have the same rights as the rest of us.

what about divorce? the bible is very clear on divorce...but many churches don't give it a second thought now. people allow culture to influence their beliefs and dismiss clear biblical principals because they are inconvenient or unpopular.
