I mean if I don't pay them do I get my membership revoked or do I go to Hell?

depends on the religion...some absolutely require tithes (like the mormons), for others it's completely voluntary.

Tithing is a way for a religious group to extract money from its followers to continue to run the organization and make it stronger. It's a tax on belonging to that religious organization that requires it. supposedly god doesn't need money, so why should "his" organization need it? Why doesn't god just supply them with what they need?

In answer to your question: Tithes are a command from God. In Malachi 3:8-10 ( the old testament). The difference between God and the IRS is that the IRS gets their money before you get yours, but God trust you to do the right thing. He allows you to take your money home and trust that you will willfully and freely give. In turn he blesses you with riches be on measures. Read the scripture for understanding. I hope that this is helpful. There is no revoking of membership with God. God loves us unconditionally. It just makes it easier to love when we do the right thing.

You don't go to Hell just for not tithing. If you do tithe, you do get the satisfaction of knowing you've done as God commands and helped a lot of people with the gifts God has given you.

i guess the bible says we should offer 10 percent of our earning to God. the two are almost the same but the difference is that tax is a must pay fee while tithes comes from the heart and mind you when you pay tithes, God will open the windows of heaven and pour down his blessings unto you to the extent that you will ask for no more. i havent been to church and i havent paid my tithes like for ever, i guess that why i havent been hired in a better job >> God please forgive me!

I really dont know. I sappose it depends on the church or type of church. I heard that in Mormon Churches you HAVE to tithe. In my church we have a humble box in the back and the Pastor never asks for money. It simply says on thebnox that if you feel moved to give to the church you can give....or something around those lines. I can never afford to give but I dont get treated any differently than anyone else at the church. I go to a Calvary Chapel.

Tithing is biblical; it allows individuals to offer up to God a small percentage of their income. Originally it was done by giving up the first of your crop or animals that people believed that God bless them with. Now its a way to pay for church overhead expensive. By the way; keep your check records; its tax deductible.

Tithes are from back with Cane and Able. It is To show God that we love him that we gladly give one tenth of our income. And anyway it isn't our's but God's anyway and He has just make us the cartakers of it. May God's love and peace be with you. Hope this answer helped. Oh yes It is the belief in Jesus as our Savior that says if we enter heaven or not.

If you don't pay, the other members will collectively VIBE you out of the church.

Note...churches pay NO taxes to the state or USA.

Someone should ammend that if they constantly think it is their mission to overtake public opinion and poltical actions. They should pay for the right to their opinions like everyone else.
