It is not. I am sure that some dummy was trying to get his rocks off or something. I think I might have answered that question. I wrote TGIF!!! And I told you to have a nice day!! I hope whomever reported that has a bad day because it might have upset you. Keep your chin up..

There are loads of people on here that use it as a chat room and to be honest I think all the other users get really fed up with those sort of questions or ones asking for email friends etc, if you ask proper questions then people won't report you for using it as a chat site. Agreed it was harsh as you hadn't been offencive but it does get a little bit tiresome.

Someone clicked the Report Abuse option. Some people just get their sick kicks at making others miserable. They're called haters. Well, you can't get rid of them, so just avoid questions that might attract haters. A lot of guys, who doesn't have a clue of what you're asking, will tell crass stuff about you and answer for the sake of getting two points. Don't worry, maybe Yahoo! only made a mistake or something. Anyway, just avoid that Report Abuse thingy below your avatar, and all's good.

It is chatting, really, and I think most of us have gotten a violation for it. I got a violation when someone asked me a question while answering my question, and I answered the question in comments. They called that chatting.

There are many chat sites. Yahoo answers has a different purpose. It is designed as a place where its users can share knowledge.
Before you participate in a site, you should read and understand its rules. The rules for this one are in that attached link, and also as a link to "community guidelines" as the bottom of each page of the site.

I agree with datman4u.
It isn't actually wrong in asking how someone is, the question was probably considered inappropriate for posting. The purpose after all for this community is to ask something you want to know more about.

Because it is a ridiculous question that does not accomplish anything but swapping points. This is not a chat forum. I would call you names but then I would get a violation notice.

Watch out! You'll probably be reported again! People are trying to conform to yahoo rules so they say. You must ask a religious question I guess. Pray for these people.

Your questions and solutions in no way get deleted. they're now the valuables of Yahoo. You agreed to this once you joined. purely end using your account and it would be deactivated yet your Q and A stay

Someone had nothing better to do then to report you.
Sad; isn' it? Makes you wonder what the world's coming to when you get in trouble for being nice!
Hmm; maybe we should become suicide bombers! That would make YA happy; right?
