Secular government, which is what we have now and should always keep.
If it's Christian, whose form of Christianity is it? Baptist? Lutheran? Catholic? Mormon?
See my point?

Tough question. As a Christian, I would prefer that my freedoms be treated equally as other faiths (and "non-faiths"). Sadly, groups like the ACLU and Americans United for the Separation of Church and State are truly heading for (as you called it) "freedom FROM religion" which certainly isn't in the Constitution.
Try this example of how backwards things have gotten. The MPAA has rated a new movie called Facing the Giants as PG solely because the characters share the Gospel of Jesus Christ ("for some thematic elements"). They admit doing it for this reason. Now tell me...who is going to go to a movie geared toward Christians and not expect it to have Christian messages in it? That's like going to The Omen and being surprised that 666 is part of the plot.
Hmmmm!

I am a Christian and I firmly believe that the government should be a secular government. Why? Because I am not interested in being governed by one person's personal interpretation of the Bible. People make mistakes.
During the millennium the world will be ruled by Christ who is perfect. Until then, I want a say in how I am governed.
By the way, atheists or agnostics follow their own religion. They have no right to force their beliefs on me anymore than I have the right to force mine on them. Exchange of ideas... yes. Interference with what you believe... no.
Groups like the ACLU are seeing to it that interference is the order of the day.

Some Christians would like our government to be secular and some Christians a theocracy.

That's an interesting question. While Christians seem to be against Islam one would think that, given the way they consistently protest our government in the name of religion, that they would fare well in a Muslim theocracy or something similar.

As a Christian speaking for myself I would prefer a secular Government. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Islam is not in charge any where on earth today, so you can only judge from authentic history info. Once Islam did eradicate poverty from a wide spread state (India to Morocco), no other system ever did it and of course that involved all citizens including Jews and Christians.

Acts 5:29 In answer Peter and the [other] apostles said: “We must obey God as ruler rather than men.
This should be YOUR example.
