Do what you want. I believe I am a piece of God. So I will always try to be the best person I can be. I don't need any holy text to tell me how to do that. As long as I am happy and doing what I want then I am doing the best I can for God. Which is me.

The goal is that we want what God wants. It has to come from both sides.

We were created by God, and for God. I say we need to do what God wants and that should be what we want to do. Our very lives depend on it eternally.

You can do both....staying inside the boundaries of your faith.
Do what you want but don't do anything that will go against your faith or contradict it. Do what God wants too....Because God doesn't burden his people he knows that he has told us to do what we can do with our desires not getting in the way...

well I assume you are a believer, so you should do what the manual tells you to do and that is, you do all other things after God, knowingly or not, so therefore God is always first

I think the answer to your question is ... Doing what you want and doing what God wants you to do works best when they're the same thing. ;-) ~ Peace & Blessings ~

Do what you want but always know that you are being watched from God. If you do bed things it will comeback and oposite.

This may not mean very much to you, but to answer your question.
IN the bible.........God said through his writers, "It is not yours to even guide your steps'
Meaning that his will is your proper course in life.
Anything you do outside of his will is wrong.
