I see this attempt to amend the constitution to say gays and lesbians can't get married.

I see in the news what has happened to that man in Utah, was his name Andrew Shepard.

Does anyone else see what I see, with an attempt to divide Americans.

Did this happen some other place and time in history?

Talking about the extremists, of course.

Is the kind of violence that Al-Qaeda and its like engage in based more on an interpretation of Islamic doctrine, or more on political factors (like gaining power and followers)? Why do people support Al-Qaeda and terroists, is it religiously based or otherwise?

"As regards the individual nature, woman is defective and misbegotten, for the active power of the male seed tends to the production of a perfect likeness in the masculine sex; while the production of a woman comes from defect in the active power...." Thomas Aquinas, Summa Theologica,Q92, art. 1, Reply Obj. 1And a man will choose...any wickedness, but the wickedness of a woman...Sin began with a woman and thanks to her we all must die" Ecclesiasticus, 25:18, 19 & 33. 1
"And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her." Ecclesiastes 7:26, from the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament)
here are a few more passages to take a look at.
Genesis 1:27 to 3:24,Genesis 3:16:,
Genesis 16:2,Leviticus 12:1-5 the bible also tells us if a woman is raped she must marry the man who raped her..how is that considered a holy union?Deuteronomy 22:28-29
Judges 19:16-30Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing." The man sent his own concubine outside to the gang, who proceeded to serially rape her. She died of the attacks. The man only learned of her death when he was leaving the house in the morning and stumbled across her body. The woman was clearly considered expendable and of little value

Christians always want to pray that you'll become brainwashed and join their club. Isn't that wishing ill upon me. I don't want to be brainwashed. Either that or they're telling their "God" where to find me and smite me and I don't want that either.

Why do they keep wanting to pray for me?

Origen: “Their rejection of Jesus has resulted in their present calamity and exile. We say with confidence that they will never be restored to their former condition. For they have committed a crime of the most unhallowed kind, in conspiring against the saviour.”

St. Gregory: “ Jews are slayers of the Lord, murderers of the prophets, enemies of God, haters of God, adversaries of grace, enemies of their fathers’ faith, advocates of the devil, brood of vipers, slanderers, scoffers, men of darkened minds, leaven of the Pharisees, congregation of demons, sinners, wicked men, stoners and haters of goodness.”

St. Jerome: “....serpents, haters of all men, their image is Judas ... their psalms and prayers are the braying of donkeys..”

ONLY Jews, Christian and Moslems answer

When Jesus said this, he was referring to the religionist and hypocrites of his day.

But what does that say about:

the burning of Joan of Ark;

or ttat the main Judi-Christian country, the US have the highest percentage of prisoners, four times higher than even communist China;

or about the blood bath of the crusaders;

or about witch burning because the preachers were so ignorant;

or about lies from clergy and priest including intentional mistranslation of certain scriptures;

or about the focus on MONEY, the Jesus said to preach FREELY without taking money;

or about bombing innocent women and children in Iraq and elsewhere;

or about the world trade center allowed by Bush administration for political gain;

or about crazy suicide bombers with no regard for the innocent;

Sadly, the list goes on and on for all Jewish, Christian and Moslem sects …

Were they created in GOD'S image … or did they create a god in their image?

I believe God is us. When I pray I meditate and bring fourth what I can give myself and not literally ask God to give it to me. Really I'm doing the same but with a different perspective. I believe in Self and so I believe we offer ourselves and create our own experiences, nothing is b/c God wills it. It's b/c you chose it. A beautiful thing called free will.
Anyone else see it as that?
