The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was not exactly a superpower. While they are gone now, they held sway of the world for the better part of 70 years.

Rome, in its time, was not a Christian nation, as a matter of record the Theocratic Christian state which was Rome in it latter days is consider a direct contributing factor to the demise of Rome.

Egypt of Antiquity was no were near a Christian nation, but it was a superpower for its time for something like 3000 years.

Implied in your question there is an allegiance to the God Yahweh as a blessing that grants Superpower status. If such was the care the Israel would have been a superpower of note at some point in history. It has not been except in their own propaganda.

As a matter of record, most of the Superpowers, in their time, lost the status when they attempted to demand cohesiveness to a singular doctrine.

I might also point out that the Dutch Reform movement went hand in glove with the demise of Dutch power and world status. The CSA rose and fell due to its adherence to Christian, and Calvinist, individualism. Calvin's theocratic Geneva never amounted to anything.

You are ill educated in your assertion that being Christian makes one a superpower. It does not.

Yes, I do hope that God does bless America, and submerge the dogmatic superstitious crack pots, and pinhead in the light of common seance, education, reason, and logic.

First of all, we are not a "Christian nation". The very idea of an official religion was why the 1st Amendment was written. Secondly, there are a lot of non-superpower "christian nations" out there so it's not like religion is the factor that differentiates between them. Third, think about the trail of religion. Western europe started out as the most powerful due to their available resources and climate advantages. Western europe was the area that spread out across the globe and forced people over to christianity. Where did Americans come from? You guessed it! Western europe.

To sum up, christianity just happened to be the religion of choice for the region that was the luckiest as far as advancement goes. Any other view would be bigoted and discriminatory.

I bid you good day.

America is the New Babylon. That is why America is the superpower, and always will be.

America is not found in the Bible. The word “America”, and there is a good reason for that.

Christopher Columbus left Spain and he didn't know where he was going. When he reached America, he didn't know where he was and when he got back to Spain, didn't know where he had been and that's like three-point sermon of some preachers today. God help us - but then Amerigo Vespucci came and the country was named after him, both North and South America. I'm glad we don't have to say, where are you from? - Amerigo. It’s America, but it was named after Vespucci. Now, in Revelation, we don't have a full description. We cannot go by the names of a nation because who knew that Amerigo Vespucci was going to found America, so we have to look for characteristics. Nothing in Isaiah 18, Jeremiah 50:51 and Revelation chapter 18 fit the descriptions and characteristics of Babylon, Iraq. So it's not Iraq. It is the United States of America. Let's give them a few examples.

Four different characteristics that I just gave to you. First, it's going to be a latter day Super Power.

That’s not Iraq. That's America and that's Jeremiah 50, verse 12.

Secondly, a great nation of wealth.

That’s Jeremiah 51, verse 7. In fact, when the wealth is being destroyed in Revelation chapter 18, verse 10, 17 and 19, it says, for in one hour is thy judgment come, for in one hour, so great riches has come to naught and for one hour, is she made desolate.

And a nation performing great space exploitations.

Oh, that's chapter 51 of Jeremiah, verse 53.

And lastly, a nuclear nation.

Jeremiah chapter 51, verses 53 and 58.

Do you pay any kind of attention to the world economies? ....seriously.

The USA is considered to be a superpower, yes...but we're also a quickly declining one.

Now, let's flip the script and educate you a bit....

Three non-Christian nations that are quickly coming into their own as up-and-coming superpowers :

China - not only do they have the largest population, and in turn work force as well as military on the planet....they INTENTIONALLY keep the value of the Yuan (Chinese dollar) low....as doing so increases the image of providing goods and services on the cheap. That image, therefore increases their exportational power of product and service.

I have a friend in Shanghai who works as an economist for the Chinese government (which is also turning from Communist to Capitalist quicker and quicker)....from what he's told me, if they ever released the Yuan to the world for what it's actually worth ;
it would destroy the western world (especially the USA) in inflationary rates and national economic destabilization. Basically, it'd be like going to war, w/out ever sacrificing a life or firing a bullet.

Japan - the world's forefront leader in technology, period. We as a "superpower" are 12-14 years behind them in consumer electronics and technological development. We're also WAY behind them in work-ethic and national pride....those two factors also mean quite a bit when it comes to national prosperity.

India - while they still have a pretty crappy national economy (still staid by that caste system nonsense and a grossly overpopulated national average.) Anyhow, the educational level of the educated classes is quite high, and they import their own onto our shores for scientific and medical education often.....which then in turn can be taken back to their people @ home.
Also, not to mention that they have the Earth's second largest national populace, and in turn, work force.

China is already a superpower, they are now....where Russia was in the 80's and growing past that measure each and every single day.

Japan, is only a power on certain levels, but kept in check by their need to import well over 85% of their national goods to keep running (i.e. oil, for example.)

India - they'll get there....once they get past outdated religious dogmatic limitations and get on with it already.

So not all the world's powers are "Christian" only.

A word of advice, study and get yourself educated before you much such general sweeping statements.

My opinion on this is that Christianity allows Capitalism, which is what most of the superpowers have been or are. Most other religions don't promote Capitalism as much. The only one that really goes against this is Russia, but they were more of a non-religion based government than religion based, and they got their money by oppression.

Well, first... America is not a Christian Nation. It was never set up as one and was never meant to be one. I suggest you start reading the actual writings of our Founding Fathers (most of which were Masons and Deists). Read what they thought of Christianity and then read what they thought about Democracy.

And China would never be a Christian Nation LOL

The Soviet Union defeated the Nazi Germans.

China is more influential than the US.

And, lastly, the US is an atheist (secular) nation.

Christian nations include the UK, Mexico, Spain, Italy, most south and central American nations. Christian nations are not "superpowers," most of them are wallowing in poverty.
