I'll give my definition: The interpretation of facts and stimuli to formulate an opinion based on past experience and beliefs.

If truth is relative and subject to interpretation (which is what I believe), is it possible to have multiple truths? Is it only truth if more than one person believes it?

truth, in it's fullest sense is not in the material. if god is truth, and god is truth then truth lies fully manifest in the spiritual realm. we as people consider matters of opinion; and the one we like best we designate truth, but it's not. it's a matter of opinion.

Common dictionary definitions of truth mention some form of accord with fact or reality. There is, however, no single definition of truth about which scholars agree. Numerous theories of truth continue to be widely debated. There are many other issues about which scholars disagree. What sorts of things can properly be called true or false? What tests can establish a claim as being true? How do we know something to be true? Which truths, if any, are subjective, relative, objective, or absolute? Does truth, as a concept, have a rigorous definition, or is it unavoidably imprecise?

Personally, I think that 'Truth' (by way of religion) is unique to each person. I think that it's whatever you genuinely believe in your heart to be fact. It's not something you have to convince yourself of...it doesn't give you that 'uneasy' feeling. In a world where anything can happen, your personal truth is what helps you sleep at night, it gives you hope, and comforts you when you are scared.

Good Luck!

The opposite of falsehood.

Used in various senses in Scripture. In Prov. 12:17, 19, it denotes that which
is opposed to falsehood. In Isa. 59:14, 15, Jer. 7:28, it means fidelity or
truthfulness. The doctrine of Christ is called "the truth of the gospel" (Gal.
2:5), "the truth" (2 Tim. 3:7; 4:4). Our Lord says of himself, "I am the way,
and the truth" (John 14:6).

truth is is the absolute knowledge of something being so, but truth is relative......yes there is book truths but individual truths vary per individual therefore truth is relative, since we are in a religion category look for truth in the Bible...it will give you many references as to what truth "truly" is, pardon the pun.

Truth is the opposite of non truth. There is no middle ground. It is either the truth or a lie.
