Well that really depends. The thing is to a certain level we all have some sort of trust in everyone even strangers. When you go to the mall you trust that the other people there are not going to harm you. Of course they might and you never know what is going to happen. You might even take precautions. However you are there and trust that they will not.
Now when you are in a relationship trust is the most important thing in making it work. Without trust you do not have a relationship.
All my children are either in school or daycare I trust the people I am leaving them with to take care of them and protect them.
My oldest is on a field trip today for her last day of school. I trust the bus driver, the teachers, the chaperone's and the workers at the place where she is to help with her and the other children's safety.
So yes to certain points you have to put trust in other people. However in many situations those people have to earn your trust. And in the end you should have the most trust in yourself and enough faith in yourself to trust yourself.

We do it all the time whether we want to or not. I trust that the electric company will keep my lights and refrigerator working as long as I pay my bills. I trust that the gas company will let me use my heater and oven when I want to if I just give them money. I trust that I'll be able to take a shower and wash my clothes if I pay the water company. I trust that I can use my cell phone to talk to people (and surf the web like I'm doing now) if I pay the cell phone company. I also trust that I'll get a pyacheck if I come in to work and do like I'm supposed to.

All of these companies are run by other people, not me. If I didn't trust them, I wouldn't pay the bills, I wouldn't go to work, and I'd quickly get fired, and have bill collectors giving me nasty visits.

Other people, I trust only for specific things. I place trust in the fact that my old girl friend will act REALLY weird around me, and mess with my head. I place trust in the fact that an old aquaintance of mine will try to steal stuff from me if I let him come over. I place trust that my sister will be mad at me for spending all morning surfing the net instead of flattening out her yard so she can seed it to have a lawn.

Yes, trust happens all the time, whether we like it or not. Even distrusting people is a sort of trust that the other person will hurt you. If you really don't trust anyone, you'll never know what to expect, good or bad from anyone, and people like to live up to your expectations.

I think either u can go ahead and trust anyone until they give u a reason..but this can be a big risk. I would like to now have it earned...u can get burned if u totally trust someone u have just met. You should get to know the person first I suppose.Yeah,,,be careful..its a wait n see thing "thats me" And the obvious one Ids the Lord Jesus..he is the only one 100% u can trust...people let ya down..and hey ...this is life! to me ahhhh...so what. Choose wisely who ya tell you stuff too./

If you don't trust others how can you trust yourself. No one is an Island and no one should show anything but trust in others ..If they do something to loose that trust then, You have a reason, 90 percent of the people in the world are good people it's the 10% that make things bad.....Of course common since helps

some people use trust to get close enough to harm yu ,some people just stumble and have no intentions of doing yu wrong but that still hurts yur trust and some say how can yu trust ne thing or ne one that yuve never met and yu heare reports and claims but yu still dont know for sure of the person ,but what we do know is what we prefure in our dreams and to our dream hero we keep our trust to confide in the goodness that we prefure, and the laws of our hero is what we trust, so we teach those laws that they remain more present in our body and mind that when the need arises our powers of imunity can easely conqure the false ways or negative thoughts, and if we do not trust this to be in everyone then the lieing sickness will consume and infect the people with ignorence and judging in ignorence of the laws they violate yur trust, but if it is taught accordingly then yu know it is in them to honor the law which our body manifestly becomes as it grows more presence in our thoughts hearts mind body and soul till our children natraly inherit the same laws instinctively being spoken to by centureis upon centureis from the foundation all the way to the lips of the person that tells you the trueth of the laws and our people

RARELY!! People suck!
My mother taught me early on (through years of abuse and attempted murders, mine of course) that very few people in this world are trustworthy. I currently trust 2 people and never have to worry about getting stabbed in the back by someone that I was unaware had it in for me.

JFC!!! How did this turn in to a bible thumping question while I was answering??? Imaginary friends can always be trusted, you keep 'the lord' and I'll keep mine, Ralpie. Have fun, jezuz freak

Depends on who and what. Obviously you will trust your spouse to be faithful, you will trust your doctor for the right diagnosis. You trust in people until they prove otherwise.
