a lot of christians suffer from "holier than thou" syndrome......truth.....morality is a combo of natural instinct and upbringing....the holier than thou attitude is going to cause many christians to suffer a wake up call from God...they will realize that judgements and the belief that those few in that category are the only ones gonna make it to heaven were gravely wrong.

Christians are not the only ones who think they have cornered the market on morality. There are some atheists and some of every other religion who think they have it cornered.

First of all, you should be commended for qualifying your question with the word "some" -- it's refreshing to see someone who's not quick to paint all Christians with the same stereotyped brush. Thanks indeed for that.

I'm not familiar with any Christians who feel they've "cornered the market on morality."

Every Christian I know would probably recognize that there are some very moral non-Christians out there -- not to mention some Christians whose morality could use some improvement.

Are there Christians out there who fit the description you've put forth? Probably. Nobody's perfect.

Morality is in the eye of the beholder. Christians just have the market cornered on their OWN brand of morality. People aren't amoral just because they don't go to church.

They have blinders on, veils before their eyes, blocking the truth. What the perceive in their narrow-mindedness, they believe to be TRUE.

SOME Christians, that's right. Certainly not all Christians.

When I was a Christian, for a coupla years I went to one of those holy-roller Fundamentalist Baptist churches where the preacher says everything is a SIIIIIINNNNN. I was so glad I left, I don't see how anyone can live a lifetime with everything being a sin. Oh btw, I left that church and returned to Catholicism, hehe!!!

most of what we believe about morality is common sense. if you look at all the craziness in the world and put the morals of christianity to it...there would be a huge difference and alot less uneccessary pain and suffering that is caused by people who don't have morals or common sense

Thank you for saying some and not all. I guess I am a Christian because I try to follow Christ -Love God Love People. I am not perfect and ALL fall short of Gods standard of perfection. I choose daily to ask Gods forgiveness. I don't know many real Christians who have that holier than thou attitude-the ones I do know seem to have a lot of money-so maybe they are worshiping the wrong things in their lives?? I hope you can forgive whoever treated you badly and rest assured God WILL deal with disobedience and causing others to stumble.

Cornered the market as in they are absolutly correct? well if thats what your asking then its becasue they believe that they are unfallibly correct and most the time wont accept someone elses beliefs and if they do they dont do it easily. So they believe it becasue sorry to chrisitians out there who arent exactly like this, but they are very ignorant

Kudos for saying "some" not "all". The reason why some christians do that is because they don't realize that every good religion inspires morality. They should learn about others.

Jehova has the market cornered on God's.

Through Jesus Christ, God's agape through Christ is given to Christians.

They don't! All the major religions have a code of moral conduct, although some may be more legalistic than others, and they also vary according to sect or denomination!
