If you look at the order in which life is thought to have evolved, then look in Genesis at the order in which God is believed to have created life, they are almost identical. Science and religion are not opposite one another; they're just looking at the same things from slightly different angles.

Since the bottom line of ALL science is, strictly speaking, measurements, ways of taking measurements and cataloging same, where's the problem?

I'm a trained scientist, with degrees in anthropology, geology and theology.

I have no problem, especially as science isn't concerned with the "why" and faith isn't concerned with the "who", "what", "where", "how" and "when.

A true scientist and a true religious person will have no conflict!!

imperfect scientist will hate religions and imperfect religion will reject science

There are THOUSANDS of True Christians who are Scientists! (not to be confused with the cult =christian scientists).
