Yes, the book inspired me to buy and read Angels and Demons, another book by Dan Brown "starring" Robert Langdon. It takes place before the Da Vinci Code (and is actually referenced a few times during the course of the Da Vinci Code) and is similar in style. Angels and Demons almost exclusively takes place at the Vatican. It is another good read, but very similar to the Da Vinci Code.

The Da Vinci Code is all a big LIE it's not true. none of it is. the author clames that everything is non-fiction when it really is fiction. the author is dumb and i don't know what crack he was smoking when he said that Jesus married Mary Magdelene or something. every thing in that book/movie is FALSE!! IT'S ALL A DUMB LIE!! DON'T LISTEN TO THEM! only listen to what God has to say and the Bible.

As a history fan, I apreciate the spark it caused for people to actually look into history themselves, from multiple sources, and not just take one guys word for it.
But, the connections he tries to make kind of ruined it for me, in no way would the Templar Knights have had close interaction the Priory of Scion.
Look into it yourself. Interesting history, thats actually provable.

It inspired me to visit Europe. It inspired me to look beyond things. It inspired me to question things that have been known for a long time.

No. I thought it was good fiction, but simply that - fiction. But I will say this the book was way better than the movie.
