There is this agnostic kid in a class of mine at school, and i have not been able to gain any ground with him, unlike some of the Atheists there. Is it just me, or are agnostics harder to convert than Atheists?

ex: God slaps an atheist. the atheists says that he does not exist. God slaps him again, and he says okay I give.

God slaps an agnostic. he says that may have been God, but i'm not sure. God slaps him again, and the agnostic says that he can not be 100% sure if it was God.

more influential today than the Roman Catholic Church is?

This is not a question of if you believe in God or not, it is a question of factual historical probability. What do you think would have happened if the Turks had lost and Constantinople and the Byzantine Empire did not dissolve?

I am asking this is both History and R&S to see the differences in answers.

I believe in nature, I'm polytheistic (more than one god exists), I believe magic is everything, everything happens for a reason, uhm.. I don't know what else. That's basically it.
What would my religion be according to what I gave?

the big bang theory is a theory regarding the evolution of the young universe; not an explanation of creation, am i wrong ?

So it's 12 minutes to go until 2008 (well at least here in PA, and the entire Eastern Time Zone hehehe). I've gone from being a Creationist Protestant, to a doubting Agnostic, to Wicca, to Atheism, and am now going back towards Protestant Christianity again.

Decisions, decisions... Which side is right? *facepalms* Who wants to wrack their brain this late in the night anyway??!!

Heya :)

I'm new to christianity and beginning to find His way instead of mine, and His light, instead of the light of the world.

I'm trying to get my facts straight...

My christian camp counselor says Jesus died nailed to a cross and then got put in a cave but he magically came back to life 3 days later and left the cave and was talking to people.

My older brother Wayne who's in trouble with the law sometimes says Jesus was killed in a tragic motorcycle stunt jump gone wrong back in Vegas in '72.

I know one of em is fibbin me...and using logic, I'm pretty sure it's my camp counselor. I think he's trying to test our faith to make sure we're alert for ridiculous stories.

Why's my camp counselor testing my faith?

I personally can't these loud-mouth people who were born and raised in America and yet can't stop talking about being Irish. My brother is one of these people. Our ancestors came over 4 generations ago and yet he can not keep his mouth shut about being Irish. He even gets mad at people who are proud of being American and says how he hates nationalism.
