I've heard that Einstein stated that in the future buddhism will probably become the most widely accepted religion for a society of technologically driven individuals. Was Einstein a Buddhist?

is anyone else proud of Miley Cyrus for standing up for her faith in a Hollywood world?
2 times recently i've heard her make a public statement.
on dick clark's new years eve she commented that it was a God thing that she had made it this far.
and with the stupid rumors of her being lesbian (our world is demented; 15 year old girls cant have a party without there being something wrong) she said it was just another way satan was trying to attack her and she wasn't gonna give in.

i know neither one is a direct reference to her faith, but im proud of her for saying even that much.
im not exactly a fan of her music, its alright (the miley music is much better than the "hannah montana" music, not to mention she sings with a different tone to her voice when shes miley; she sounds alot better)
im not the only one who actually still likes her other than the crazed fans, am i?

Gays always seem to be under attack from the book burning bible thumping club. But as they are becoming more politicized, do you think the gay population will ever have as much influence in Washington as the holy rollers?

Also, has anyone spoken in favour of Baruch de Spinoza, the Renaissance/Enlightment Jewish thinker who was excommunicated for his rationalist perspective?

I have known people to be abandoned by their congregation, and maybe even disowned by their parents, if they committ a sin that they view as so great the person can no longer stay among them, lest the others be somehow 'tainted.' Why are these people turned away? Isn't it times like that that they need you the most? Shouldn't you trust your other congregation members to know better than to follow their example? In my church, sinners are welcome. Forgive me, if I sound condescending. I just want to understand.

It's just not my thing.Even though I'm forced to go to church EVERY sunday by my grandmother(I'm 17 years old and I can't WAIT until I turn 18 and will be able to do whatever I want)

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I AM ASKING A QUESTION ON YAHOO IN THE YEAR OF 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jan G kept begging me to sing a Scottish New Year song, but I am very shy so do you think he will accept the words instead. And all Scottish folk where ever you may be join in as well, as a matter of fact you can all join in if you can say the words. A guid new year to ane an' a'
An' mony may ye see,
An' during a' the years to come,
O happy may ye be.
An' may ye ne'er hae cause to mourn,
To sigh or shed a tear;
To ane an'a baith great an' sma'
A hearty guid New year.
Chorus
A guid new year to ane an' a'
An' mony may ye see,
An' during a' the years to come,
O happy may ye be. from Suzie.
