This is what I'm I'm talking about....Aren't Christians supposed to be UNDERSTANDING instead of questioning a persons faith by their likes and dislikes? Your telling me I should check the bible....maybe YOU should do the same.

Just because I don't enjoy attending church doesn't mean I don't believe in God.

What I meant by turning 18 is that I will actually have a chance to make my own decisions because when you are 18 you are a legal adult.

No. If there was a god, in my opinion, he would love you for the good person you are and know that in your heart you were a good person. Church is something humans invented; why would he banish you to hell with child molesters and the like because it's not your favorite way to worship? I don't actually believe in god, but truly, if you are a good person with love in your heart, how could anyone banish you to eternal torment?

First of all, it's not what you do that sends you to hell. It's what you don't do. Repentance. If you don't repent of your sins, meaning turning away from your sinful ways, then you will go to hell. Sin is not an act. It's an attitude of the heart that says I will not obey. Church attendance falls under obedience. It is written, " Forsake not the assembling of yourselves". If you were a true Christian, with a genuine salvation experience, I don't believe you would be dealing with these issues. When you become saved, you realize what God has done for you. You don't become brainwashed, you become "heart-washed". You establish a relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, reading Scripture daily and attending church to build up your faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. That's why we have preaching. There's going to be alot of good people, alot of religious people and alot of people who were duped into thinking they don't need church, the Bible and prayer who are going to hear on Judgement Day, "Depart from me you worker of iniquity for I never knew you". The road to hell is paved with good intentions. But it's still the road to hell. Christianity is not about religion-it's about a personal relationship with Christ.

Whether a Christian attends church really depends upon how much they truly love the Lord and appreciates just what Jesus went through and suffered to redeem us from sin. It doesn't matter what other people think or say about you, what does matter is how much you love the Lord and are willing to serve Him. It is by attending church with like minded Christians that we are able to learn about God's will for our lives and how to be a true born again believer, how to grow in the faith and be a witness for Him. We read in Hebrews 10:25 the following admonition to the believer, "25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. " This is the day of Christ's return for His people who called by His name - the Christian. Attendance is vitally important. Some churches are boring, however seek a church that is alive, with Spirit filled people, with lively and worshipful music, find young people your age and attend youth meetings with them. A full gospel or charismatic churh is not one you will be bored with, also the others who scoff and mock God will certainly lead you astray. Just remember, no one is GOOD ENOUGH to make it to Heaven. This takes bekief abd faith in Jesus Christ. I would like to share a preacher joke with you:

Waking Up for Church

One Sunday morning, a mother went in to wake her son and tell him it was time to get ready for church, to which he replied, "I'm not going."

"Why not?" she asked."I'll give you two good reasons," he said. "One, they don't like me, and two, I don't like them."

His mother replied, "I'll give YOU two good reasons why you SHOULD go to church. One, you're 54 years old, and two, you're the pastor!"

God Bless!!

if you were a Christian, you would know that accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord, Savior and Master eliminates ANY possibility of going to hell......doesn't your church teach you that???? It doesn't matter who you are, where you have been, what you have done, what you think, what you do in the future, how old you are, if you go to church, etc, etc....IF YOU BELIEVE JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD AND MASTER OF YOUR HEART, YOU WILL GO TO HEAVEN...plain and simple. I hope I see ya there someday...

well sometimes I dont "feel" like going either. I went today and I am sick with a cold. Who are we here to serve while on earth? Ourselves or the Lord? Dont trade t he world for Jesus. Remember to keep holy the sabbath. That means go to church. We must obey, right? Jesus told us that, by saying the one who does my will shall enter heaven.

Don't worry about it, going to church doesn't make you a good person or not. You should focus on what feels right to you and your personal idea of what God is and think for yourself.

Hell is unhappiness and Heaven is that thing you feel when you laugh or love.

Then my beliefs changed and I quit going.

You can't go to a place that doesn't exist.
