is anyone else proud of Miley Cyrus for standing up for her faith in a Hollywood world?
2 times recently i've heard her make a public statement.
on dick clark's new years eve she commented that it was a God thing that she had made it this far.
and with the stupid rumors of her being lesbian (our world is demented; 15 year old girls cant have a party without there being something wrong) she said it was just another way satan was trying to attack her and she wasn't gonna give in.

i know neither one is a direct reference to her faith, but im proud of her for saying even that much.
im not exactly a fan of her music, its alright (the miley music is much better than the "hannah montana" music, not to mention she sings with a different tone to her voice when shes miley; she sounds alot better)
im not the only one who actually still likes her other than the crazed fans, am i?

Really it had to be God because it sure wasn't her talent that got her this far...

Oh my gosh yes it makes me so proud. I watched her z100 interview yesterday when they asked her about the pictures and she said it was a way of satan attacking her. It blew me away. I'm 21, I'm a Christian, and it makes me sooooo happy to see young girls like her in the spotlight not ashamed of their faith. I'm going to her concert with my lil sis on Monday in DC. This is sad but my friends and I are actually planning on waiting around the venue sunday and monday to try and see her in DC somewhere....haha. If I see her, I think I might cry. But really, I hope she keeps the faith and God continues to bless her tremendously. She can be a HUGE influence on younger girls today.

I think it is great that she stands up for what she believes in not many people will do that , let alone a international pop star ...but our society and media only puts these negative rumors out because they accomplish two things they know they will be making big bucks for handing in this story and that they will be heard of in the media , they dont really care about who they build up ar tear down.

Perferrably, I'm not a Miley Cyrus fan, but I think it's great how she is standing up for her beliefs. As long as she doesn't go all religious obsessed on us, she's okay in my book.
^_^ Happy New Year! Merry Meet!

Yes, I commend her for it, but we've been down this road before with Brittney Spears and Jessica Simpson just to name a couple. They started out as good Christian girls too, and now look at them, just another embarrassment to Christianity and the human race. I read an interview with Jessica Simpson a couple years ago, right after her divorce, where she said that she took the "Be a virgin until you're married thing" too far. I think God knew what He was doing when He told us not to get caught up in what the world has to offer. It can get the best of anyone.

I think anyone who stands up for their faith, beliefs or dis-beliefs, in this day and age is courageous and I applaud them.

I am happy for her that she stood up for her faith, but at age 15...she really needs to look at things if she is going to be so....strong about her faith. I know myself and a lot of people began to question faith...and I hope she has or is going to because I can just see in a couple of years that her veiw may change, or not depending on if she has already thought about her faith and why she sticks with it.

I think it's amiable of anyone to stand up for what they believe in. As long as it doesn't hurt others.
