I have used "my god" and "damn it" and other religious-originated curses -- after all, you religious folks have controlled cultures and languages for millennia. It would be difficult to avoid it.

As far as a "relationship" with your god? No. I have no relationships with imaginary things -- I am in my 50s and gave that up many years ago.

Missing something in life? Yes! I am working class in capitalist America, so of course the leisure and relaxation that money can buy is in short supply for me and Ms. Red.

Peace? In a beautiful sunset. Staring into Ms. Red's eyes in an intimate moment. Seeing my stepson grow and develop as a human being. A nicely-turned phrase in a discussion down at the union hall. Petting the cat and walking the dog. Contemplating the future of my species, as we evolve away from primitivism and reach for the stars.

Teach to kids? Certainly I have tried. My stepson is not a Christian, Jew or Muslim - he IS educated enough, at least, to reject the Abrahamic religions. However he considers himself a pagan. I figure he'll outgrow it. If not, I'll still love him, and while I would hope to spare him the pains of religion, he has to get through life trapped in his own skull, like the rest of us.

Was I "converted"? I don't believe so. I honestly do not remember a time, even way back in childhood, when I took the Christian beliefs of my father or the Jewish beliefs of my mother seriously, or any religion at all, for that matter.

I DID, however, learn at a relatively young age that religious people control the world, that they DO take these tales seriously, and that it's wise to challenge their beliefs ONLY when they can't hurt you.

Oh definite. i'm aggressively illiberal of folk who're illiberal. I communicate my concepts, vehemently if i think it relatively is needed. i'm very unforgiving. i will look ahead to years to come back at somebody who has executed me a bad turn, yet i'm going to do it in the tip. no longer something to be happy with. it extremely is merely the way i'm.

can a "non-believer" jump in?

Relationship with the Christian deity - No. I asked, he didn't answer, I moved on.

A gap, a void or something missing - Of course, I think every human does. Do I think the Christian deity can fill that - no. My religion, family and friends do that.

What do I find peace in? - my deities, my life, my family, my friends, my honor.

Swearing: I don't know of others notice but I say "Oh gods."

i no longer believe in deities so i can't have a personal relationship with an invisible super friend anymore.

sometimes i feel a "gap" but i am self aware enough to know that "gap" was deliberately installed in me by my religious upbringing. i was repeatedly threatened with "separation from God". that's a lie, of course, since one can not be separated from the omnipresent but the conditioned insecurity still pops up from time to time.

i do have my own science based spiritual concepts. "God" concepts that, while they may not provide me with peace, do provide me with hours of interesting intellectual entertainment ... like a puzzle.

i didn't raise my daughter to be anything other than a decent loving person. i didn't seek to lead her to believe or not believe in gods. she does her own spiritual explorations unhampered by preconceived religious ideas.

i find peace in the contemplation of the beauty of Nature and i'm pretty good at growing roses.
.
i was raised strict Catholic and became a born again Fundy in my teens. i'm Agnostic now.

I don't use deities in my curses - I can come up with much more colorful phrases, I don't even do it what you say by mistake because I've never done it so I'm not in the habit.

I feel no gap or void in my life. I find peace in the world around me - music, art, nature, technology.

I do not have children nor do I intend to.

I have absolutely no gap in my heart by not believing in a fictional character. I let my kids discover their beliefs themselves, instead of forcing a belief down their throats. They went to different churches with relatives and friends, and ended up being Atheists, also. What's missing is the fear of a god, satan, or hell, thus I have more peace in my heart than you. This is with full honesty. Have you ever stopped to question where gods came about? People created gods. Why do let yourself believe in such crap?

Like you, I can only answer from my brain because my heart is nothing more than a very important blood pump.

Sometimes, because of culture, I say "Oh my god" or something similar. I take no offense if someone says "God bless you", either.

No gap, not missing out on anything.

Peace is within because I want it. Music, reading and other activities help.

Yes. Their favorite place is the Museum of Natural Science or just going on nature hikes. They already know about Darwin.

No, I have no relationship with any god. That would be rather hard since I don't believe in the existence of any god.

Saying, "Oh my god," or, "my god," does not imply a belief in a deity any more than you saying, "Thursday" implies that you believe in Thor. It's part of the common vernacular. It's a habit, nothing more.

No, I don't feel a gap or void. I feel much more complete and full of life as an atheist than I did as a theist.

I find peace in love, art, friendship, music, nature, meditation, and a host of other things.

I don't have kids, but if I ever do, I will do my best to teach them how to think instead of what to think.

I don't associate common forms of blasphemy as a 'relationship' with God. So no.

Nope, no gap.

I find peace in living, and all around me.

We have no intention of having kids. The cats have been raised atheist, as is only proper for cats.
