"God of Gap"

I believe that God created the world. I KNOW THIS IS LONG. BEFORE YOU STOP READING THIS JUST HEAR ME OUT, BESIDES IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE WHAT I DO THEN THERE'S NO HARM IN JUST READING SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I know what you're probaly thinking and I'm not yet sure how to help people like you except to tell you how I feel about it. I believe God is in everything we do. I mean look around you how does our delicate body work. There are so many different things going on at the same time (our heart beating, our stomach taking the nutrients our body needs and other organs getting rid of what we don't, the way our mind allows us to solve problems, how our different body parts work without us having to think about working them, the way we take in only oxygen and release only carbon dioxide, etc.) and just the way we are able to interact with and use nature. I don't think some big explosion could create such an amazing world that we live in now and how could we such intelligent beings evolve from monkeys. Yah they're smart, but not even close to the level of smart we are. I have faith there is someone who loves us and created us each with a plan in mind. That someone is God. He loves each and everyone of us which is why he sent his only son Jesus down to earth in order to preach to everyone about his kingdom and then to be ridiculed by us and eventually crucified. (John 3:16) He died went down down into hell were he crushed satans head and fulfilled the prophesy written about in Genesis. Then he rose into heaven and is sitting on God's right hand right now. There's so much more I could tell you, but you might not want to hear it. If you don't belive me that's okay because you can check it out for yourself. There are so many things that prove the Bible right. Look at all the prophesies in the Old Testament that Jesus fulfills in the New Testament. How could some crazy lunitic write about so many overlapping things that fit like a miraculous puzzle. Have you seen anything that proves it wrong? I know a lot of people think what I've just typed is a load of crap and that's to be expected, but when you start to belive in Jesus Christ as your Savior it changes your life; you will never be the same. I decided to start reading one chapter from the Bible a night to learn more about everything God did for us even with my crazy hectic schedule (homework, flute, skating, running, etc.). I noticed a difference in my confidence and the way I perceived things going on in my life. I feel totally confident in myself even though I don't have a boyfriend and am not exactly in the "popular" group of people and I've decided that I'm not going to live my life trying to impress people. I've finally realized that who I am is okay and I don't need to be the girl surrounded by her posse (you know what I'm talking about the make you melt guys and the girls who those guys want to date/hangout with) I can just be me and finally be happy being the quiet (not shy anymore) CC runner, flutist, speedskater, and believer. To me that is a lot and I owe all to God and my family for raising me in the right direction. God has changed my life and I hope he can change yours to.

Like you said Big Bang is only a THEORY however it has been treated by the scientific community as if fact. But Creation is fact based, so far as we know, on the metaphysics of faith. It is true and meaningful only if you believe in God and the Bible. Science can't convincingly prove or totally disprove the Creation as it is written because that account is not based on the rational level of human reasoning but on a transcendental plane which requires supernatural understanding and acceptance; what we simply call faith. Now, this is the self same level or plane where miracles emanate from which is also above and beyond the grasp of empirical Science and Technology.

There is nothing scientific about how this world was made. In the beginning GOD created heaven and earth. The time before that is really none of our business.

There are big gaps in the evolution theory. "If people were made from monkeys and apes than why are there still monkeys and apes?" That was the main point in my Evolution/Creationism debate last year, I was Creationism. Creationism thinks that god put things on this earth, almost like a poof. Some things just can't be explained, and never will. You're not wrong, Science classes teach us of the Evolutionary theory, only because that is science and you learn science in Science. I'm sure if you went to a Christian school they would teach you Creationism in class. I think that Creationism was sparked because there is no 100% proof of the Evolution theory being correct, and things that god does cant be explained through science, so thats what they said as the Creationism explanation.

The old earth view is based totally in the physical realm of time and space and science is at peace with it since science can only accept as theory that which it can prove.

All sciences need math. When it comes to time-based math, such as that used in dating materials, there needs be a constant on which to begin your calculations. If your constant varies, you will have skewed results and false conclusions. Most physical sciences are based on one presupposition. That is, that there is a constant on which to date back and measure change. There is much evidence that entropy and decay effects everything that is of matter and even energy. Science has proven that the universe had a beginning and is decaying over time and dark matter has only reinforced this consideration. Einstein proved that time is a physical property. Others have postulated that the speed of light is slowing down logarithmically. So what is your constant? On what can you base your math? There really is too many variants to be dogmatic in any of the materialistic sciences--let alone gamble your eternal soul on.

Actually, the big bang theory is a theory regarding the rapid expansion of space-time in the early stages of the universe, and has nothing to do with the "evolution" of the early universe.

I don't know what sparked creation. Personally, I think the best current hypothesis is the RNA world hypothesis. However, if the only action God has ever taken was making a few DNA molecules, it doesn't seem like God is really all that powerful.

Science proved evolution of the universe. Creationists believe a fictional book with no proof whatsoever, and full of crap.

If you consider 13 billion years young, then it is a theory that is supported by the available evidence, and addresses the origins of this universe.

I have no beliefs about the origins of the universe, I'm versed enough in cosmology to understand that there was not a deity involved ant that the assumption that the start state was "nothing" is a false one.

Wrong...look up M Theory.

And throwing a god in there only delays the question a step. It really doesn't answer a thing. And you really only made up that much.
