Hi there, i have met a lovely Spanish guy, problem is his English is very limited and so is my Spanish! This makes it hard to communicate at times, particularly as i am back here in England and he is in Spain-even more so over the phone as i cannot read his body language etc! I will write him a letter and would like to tell him that he means a lot to me, and that he is in my thoughts. There is no other man that interests me..... (sorry if this sounds soppy!) any ideas would be gratefully received! Why is it when you find yourself the perfect partner there seems to be a technical hitch?!

Alrite, I was talking with a Spanish friend, and the word AL popped into my head. I asked him what he meant, and he was sure of the translation. So, here I am, asking what AL means in English (translated from Spanish)?

Please forgive this if I am asking a question I am not allowed by yahoo rules. I work for a domestic violence shelter that has no spanish speaking staff at this time. We occasionaly have a spanish speaking client in shelter, and at this time I have one lady who speaks no english. I was wondering if anyone knows of any type of service of knows of anyone willing to do interpreting through yahoo messenger conference. I am asking out of desperation at this point so any ideas would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

As long as we can understand each other, who cares?

Isn't the idea of speaking 'properly' just something created by the upper classes in the 19th century to keep the masses down? Language is for communication, nothing more, nothing less.
