Can I write "ten years have passed" without being followed by the word 'since'?

TEN YEARS HAVE PASSED, Lengkong Wetan which used to be a hiding and meeting place for the national fighters, has now left almost no trace of it. However, there is only one coconut tree left as a “Historical Site” which marks Sakim’s house which is now leveled to the ground due to old age.

Another question, what should i use to replace 'old age'? Is this common?

How do you paraphrase "some are asphalted and some have holes" to make it parallel and sound natural?

Lengkong Wetan village is situated near main road connecting Bintaro to Serpong (SOME ARE ASPHALTED AND SOME HAVE HOLES). The public transportation available is C-06 small van plying the route that runs from “Marketing Office of BSD” to “Ciledug”.

Do I use the word "passing through" appropriately here?

What I meant by 'passing through global jaya school' is that we travel past global jaya school in order to reach the village.

Context:
Lengkong Wetan Village is located on the perimeter of the Capital city of Jakarta and situated between two modern cities, BSD City and Bintaro Jaya. It can be reached via Pondok Indah – BSD toll road or via Jakarta – Merak toll road or via Bintaro Jaya Sector IX alternative road route, "PASSING THROUGH" Exclusive Housing Senayan Bintaro, Japanese School and then turning left for 100 M after "PASSING THROUGH" Global Jaya school.
